Bish for those of us who don't know owt about fashion or photoshopping (just me? ok then...) what am I looking at here?
top picture - look at the legs - they have shaved preposterous amounts from her inner thighs - if you trace the leg lines up to where they would meet - then either her fanny is between her breasts - or she has a foot-wide straight gap between her legs...

this si the same model in the white version of the garment - they haven't shopped her thighs - and so they look as they should...

second photo - they have made her impossibly thin - she is thinner than the width of her head - there would be no room for her internal organs in there!

here's the real model next to the shopped version...
Cheers bish, sad thing is the "real" versions look miles better than the airbrushed ones.

I did realise that woman looked very thin but wasn't sure if she was just one of them size zero's or sommat.

I don't see any problem in a bit of airbrushing
not so ambivalent anymore then?
Any chance of a straight answer as to why this has angered you?
I have a 14yr old daughter who occasionally (mercifully not very often or compulsively) imagines that she is "fat". Now, she is absoutely nowhere near being fat - there is hardly an ounce of spare fat on her - she could not "pinch an inch" if she tried. but - occasionally - she imagines she is - and the reason she does is the constant bombardment she gets almost everywhere she looks of images of impossibly thin airbrushed models - the pictures of whom constantly relay the message that "this" is what beauty is - and that "this" is the desirable shape. (it is not only thin-ness - but enhanced cheekbones, enlarged eyes, longer necks etc. etc. - all with a few tweaks in photoshop).

now - thankfully - my daughter has quite a high level of self-esteem and for her it is usually only momentary - I do not worry that she will become obsessed with it - but not all 14yr old girls DO have high self-esteem - and for them, I think these impossible "ideals" are hugely damaging. however much they diet - they will never have legs like the top model (unless they have almost killed themselves with an eating disorder) or have a waist as thin as the second picture.

now... care to give a straight answer as to how you went from ambivalent to not at all ambivalent in 3minutes?

I like the slob one. The bit at the end of that even though it's taking the piss "no-one wants to look at ugly people" is pretty much true unfortunately.

my energy provider just phoned me. the woman said she would like to talk to me about a new "product" they were offering. feeling generous, I said - fire away.

then she said - first I need you to give me your account details for security purposes to confirm who you are.

I said - you phoned me - you know who I am.

she said - it's for security purposes

i asked - are we discussing any details of my account or simply the general idea of the new "product" you are offering?

she said - the product

i said - so, no security involved and nothing specific to my account

she said - it's company policy

then she said - I'm sorry I can't discuss this with you further as you won't confirm who you are.

i said - that's a shame.

looking at University Open days for my middle son...

to book a place on an Derby University Open Day you HAVE to provide a mobile telephone number - otherwise the form will not send. (this is in addition to a landline)

That's why there's no answer.

Count your blessings, Rev.. On more than one occasion my daughter, at the age of thirteen and fourteen, came that close to death that even the doctors and support staff were not sure whether she'd make it. Some of her 'friends' in the various wards she inhabited for what seemed like an eternity didn't. Anorexia is an insidious phenomenon and one that is not always noticed by parents (including me) until it's almost too late. Thankfully my daughter came through it and is now a happily married mother. Naturally it was an extremely stressful few years for both myself and my wife and something I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Well, for feck's sake - "The so-called "fashion industry" is the biggest rip-off,"? Yes. Yes it is, Tango. An industry in which people design objects that others consider desirable. Objects for which consumers willingly part with their hard earned money? Yeah! What a rip-off. feck me!

Is it so called because its real name is actually the banana industry?

I'm sorry your family went through that, Dujon. I do count my blessings, partly because I knew a family in Hartlepool where I used to live who lost a daughter - aged 17 - that way. I conducted the funeral service. This is why I am angry about it...

Then why did you? The fashion industry is so-called because that's what it's called. What exactly is your problem? It's hardly worth the bother of posting anything as viws these days just to hear your pompous put downs. When you can't express a view what's the point of a forum. Shove it pal.

Star wars ; stupid C*** George Dog C*** and his ways...

I saw a video rental place closing down and Star wars boxset,
We have no money, not enough to live on.
But I got the $20 needed to buy it... Why?
I thought it was going to be the version WITHOUT Hayden C***inston at the end as the ghost of Lukes father.

We've decided to keep it.

I have three sets of the trilogy on Video.

F*** you George Lucas and your changing of History.

Driving home I was in suspense 'Will it be it or not'. I get home, flick to the end of Return of the Jedi and scream "Noooooooooo"

I should email Lucasfilm but I am too Angry

I just emailed them, I mentioned Hayden Christiensenwfdw's name three times.
At the end I wrote that I want to start a DVD company and get the rights to make Return of the Jedi without him
