Lawro presumably keeps his job, because if you don't listen to him very often, and don't bother checking whether he has his facts right, he sounds relatively credible.
That said, I don't like our financial position. It is not sustainable and we don't appear to have a plan B, plan A appearing to be run at a loss and survive in the prem. Things must surely be better this season with increased renenue from TV and our cup run, plus getting rid of some players from our wage bill, and less spent on transfers, but we will still make a loss. It will all end in tears one day not too far away, so enjoy these days whilst you can.

Surely Plan A is the only plan though? Otherwise we'd live within our means and sit mid-table in the Championship, which sounds shit.
Live fast, die young and all that.

Re: £90m in debt?
Its as broad as its long, and not as straightforward as it first seems. John Madjeski was pointing out in the paper the other day that because of wage pressure from the Premier League, most Championship clubs are fooked, and living well outside their means (including the "big" clubs).
And theres a real danger of relegation to League One, where its peanuts (couple of hundred thousand?) that you receive. Milan Mandaric reckons he's lost £7m, just this season, because they haven't been promoted, yet at the same time trying to maintain a squad capable of promotion.
So if we were to theoretically live within our means, we'd be in a different but equally bad state. Income vs expenditure and all that.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Well, that's cheered me up enormously the day before we play United. Cheers.bristol_Wanderer3 wrote: It will all end in tears one day not too far away, so enjoy these days whilst you can.
