I know I'm biting and I really shouldn't. But its not necessarily about news but interaction. I don't know a single BWFC within 200km of me, so sometimes its nice to get instant reaction to stuff. Just like being on a forum like this.

Not much on there yet, but there will be when we launch proper (probably next week).

Twitter is a great resource - easier to link up with other web professionals, discuss work, and chat to other BWFC fans who I'd never meet in the real world.

I Agree.

Was very sceptical, but it is both useful and interesting if you want it to be.

I suspect those who are dismissing it out of hand are doing so without having seen what it can do for them.

It's one thing - and very easy - to criticise something that can be pointless to the extent that Twitter can be, but quite another to atually use it to keep you in touch with like-minded people, and gain an insight into worlds that might be otherwise closed.

Just because a lot of teenage girls use it to pretent they are friends with celebrities, and 90 per cent of what is said on there is absolute tosh, is no reson to dismiss the entire medium. In fact, it is very well set up to allow you to filter out that tosh and focus on what you want to.
