Recall Gardner?
Should we recall Ricardo? He can cover a couple of positions in midfield, could play centrally if required. For me he's better than Cohen and we're going to need some cover as can't see Mark Davies and Muamba seeing us through 90 minutes every game seeing as neither seem to play 90 minutes too often!
He's had a couple of games at Preston so should be fitter......

DEFINITELY.
I live in Preston, and bloke next door is a season-ticket holder = says Ricky has been a different class since coming in - he must be fitter now so well-worth bringing back.

Wonder if McCanns still available?
I see it now, as we enter our first FA Cup Semi Final for a decade, our midfield wil be JOB, McCann and Cohen.
Call it Megson's revenge.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

If Mark Davis stays unfit Cohen could well figure in there.Lord Kangana wrote: ?

Re: Recall Gardner?
Assuming Coyle sticks to 4-4-2 and theres a (very slim) chance he won't, our options for central midfield appear to be limited to
Davies, Muamba, Cohen, JOB and Gardner...is that it?
I wouldn't trust Muamba + Gardner together, neither know their jobs well enough
Without Holden, I'm even more convinced there isn't a place for Petrov, but we shall see

Re: Recall Gardner?
I'd imagine Matty Taylor would play in a 4-4-2 (centrally) over Gardner anyway...

Re: Recall Gardner?
With how central Elmander kept going on saturday, and how affective he looked running at Man Utd's backline, I said he could do a job in the center. He definitely has the work rate. Stick Lee back out on the right. Worth a try but it won't happen.

Sometimes thinking of Ivan Campo evokes a big sigh of regret.

Even the Campo of 5 years back would be no good to us under CoyleTANGODANCER wrote:Sometimes thinking of Ivan Campo evokes a big sigh of regret.

ex-gardner, if you don't mind.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Please not the gardener currently doing rather poorly at Sheffield Wednesday...
He's finding the current role somewhat uphill, I believe too. So he's an ex-Uphill Gardener.
... & ref Ricky .... definately.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Given the options, a resounding yes.

Re: Recall Gardner?
While he's playing at Preston (and looking a class above, by all accounts) there's no point rushing to recall him so he can sit on our bench.
I think he'd be a good option to have, but then I thought the same last week. Maybe Coyle just doesn't rate him?
Has Tamir been playing for the reserves recently by the way? He's looked way short of match fitness since returning.
