Brum vs Bolton (League)

Post by BWFC_Insane » Mon Mar 21, 2011 5:22 pm

Ok still a couple of weeks away but it is our next game.

Hopefully all our players will return fit from international duty because we're fooked if we lose anymore!

Brum are a poorer version of Stoke IMO so this will be a good test to see if we can indeed cope without Holden in games like these.

Think it will be interesting. Will OC protect players for Wembley? Have we any on 9 bookings? (2 game ban if so, including the semi final). Will he risk M Davies if he's not fully fit?

Should be interesting. Brum need the points desperately.

Size of our following will be interesting, being as we only ever take about 400 but 5,000 pitched up for the cup game. I'll be there (again) like.

I'm thinkin that Owen will take full strength, he cares as much about the league as he does the cup... if he does rest a few, i'd see us playing

Give some options a game.

JOB been turning out for the reserves hasn't he?

Recall Gardner. Try a 433 with muamba, Davies, Lee, Taylor, elmo, SKD

Anything really

We have to let them win anyway.

Wasn't the agreement - they'd let us win in the Cup, and we'd help them in the League.

We'll knock another nail in Brum's coffin, though there are plenty of other clubs I'd like to see relegated before Brum. 0-1 to the Wanderers. Klasnic 84th minute. (put yer house on it!)

Wanderers are hopeful that Mark Davies will make a quick return to Premier League action, despite pulling him out of England’s Under-21s squad.

The young midfielder has been out of contention for nearly a fortnight after tweaking ankle ligaments in the FA Cup quarter-final victory over Birmingham City.

Davies was forced to withdraw from Stuart Pearce’s squad heading for an international friendly in Denmark last night, but The Bolton News understands that he is hoping to make himself available for the Whites’ next league game – also at St Andrews – on April 2.

Awful pitch, not worth the risk

Not so in mine. They've been struggling but are capable of turning out a good game of football. Much depends on us, not them. Holden will be a big loss because of his non-stop game and his ability to find space and help defenders out. We need to prove we can still play the same game in his absence. All about taking chances when we make them if we're going to stay up there.

You saying Brum are a better side than Stoke?

Where did I say that? They're a decent side in their own right and quite capable of giving us just as hard a game and they have home advantage and we just lost a key player. Let's not get ahead of ourselves is what I'm saying. Play well, we may win.

I do worry for an FA Cup backlash. I'd happily settle for an away point, so we don't start a losing streak just at the very worst time of the season.
