Wembley - Where to Park?

Post by Barr Hill » Wed Mar 23, 2011 7:25 pm

I don't fancy paying £30 to park at Wembley. Could anyone suggest best places to park up and travel in by tube?

like any friggin ground, local businesses, school yards etc all open up and let you park there for a tenner or so. you will see men in yellow coats waving you in. from what ive been told you can park 20 mins walk away and be on your way after the game without much hold up.

The whole of the industrial estate around South Way/ Engineers Way will have parking spaces for about a tenner. However, having worked in this area previously I can say you will have a good hour to an hour and a half wait before the traffic dies down.

Try parking at a train station further out. I'll check a few and let you know.

Aye with two sets of fans coming down its going to be crowded wherever. Planning on finding something around the ground for about £10 if possible.

I always look at parking in outer London and tubing/training it in. So Harrow-on-the-Hill, Uxbridge, even places like Hemel Hempstead, St Albans etc etc.

The major downside to this is the wait for the tube after the game. Which flies by if you've won, where I'm happy to stroll a couple of stops, have a quick jar at a pub, and get on the tube later.

Its a bit shit if you've lost, though.

Last time I went to the new wembley was the MUSE concert - I have to say, leaving the ground afterwards - there was no problem at all queuing for the tube... we didn't stop once - despite a vast crowd - on the walk from the ground to stepping onto a train...

I think that's one think they have pretty well oiled nowadays (unlike at Upton Park or the Emirates)

I'm guessing with two norvern teams involved, bish, that it might be a larger amount of people trying to get on the tube.

I take it for a concert of the nature of Muse, there would be a higher percentage of people dispersing within the London area?

Though I haven't been to New Wembley, so I can't really say.

possibly - though if they were - then most of them would use the tube to do so!

Parking 5 minutes walk from stadium, close to A40

50 quid for 16 of us - cheaper than the tube and no queuing

And I'll have chilled cans awaiting arrival
