Can't go. Gramps 80th birthday do that despite all the hinting in the world wont be moved. Nearly turned 9 again and had a paddy. Fook I hope we win. So while you set of bastards are enjoying a semi in the wembley sun (hey hey) I'll be in the pissing Yew Tree craning my neck to find a telly.

why not buy your gramps a ticket to wembley for his 80th birthday - and take him to the game?

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Ticket Rush
Coz he doesn't really like football, definitely doesn't like that London, can't stand that the new multi billion pound national stadium was built in said that London, which he doesn't like, and because he and 11 others of us are already booked in for a meal he is really looking forward to. If he was 77 or something I'd be tempted to ask him to move it, but it's a big one, and in the back of my mind there's always the morbid thought there may not be too many 'big' ones left, and if, as seems obvious, he doesn't really want to move it, it would be unfair to start trying to push him into it.

I just googled block 552, wembley and someone had taken pictures from an event they had attended.
Blind luck, in other words.

why don't you find some previously lost documents that prove that he is actually only 78 - he'd be happy (surely) - and as it is no longer a "big one" - you can be excused....

Might be the last time we ever get to Wembley

These are the same documents that Obafemi Martins and Roger Milla use aren't they?thebish wrote:Prufrock wrote:Coz he doesn't really like football, definitely doesn't like that London, can't stand that the new multi billion pound national stadium was built in said that London, which he doesn't like, and because he and 11 others of us are already booked in for a meal he is really looking forward to. Got through very quickly. Lots of availability.
Now - anyone know a sports bar in Amsterdam that shows FA Cup games???
Please don't do any 'smoking' in a bar in Amsterdam William, and underestimate the strength of it, which means you fall asleep and miss the whole caboodle. Which is similar to what I once did at Blackbush when supposedly watching Bob Dylan..................I remember John Martyn, and that was it!

The club would like to thank all supporters for their patience during what has been a very busy period of telephone and online sales, with sales exceeding 2,000 tickets per hour during peak periods.

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Ticket Rush
count me in the £60 quid club....not sure where yet though!
Re: FA Cup Semi Final Ticket Rush
Aren't £60 tickets sold out?
"Bolton Wanderers were allocated 3,420 tickets in the £60 price bracket, and these have all now sold out. Therefore tickets are now only available priced at £50, £40 and £30, with a £10 reduction for concessions."

Re: FA Cup Semi Final Ticket Rush
Which is very true. I'm surprised that there are a number of ardent fans not going, for a variety of reasons. This is what most have wanted for years, a cup run, a wembley trip. If we lose we might not go back for 20 years, longer even. Some of us might never see it. Who knows?CAPSLOCK wrote:Might be the last time we ever get to Wembley

I sympathise with Pru, not much you can do about an 80th for a relative who doesn't really like footie. Hard to pull outta that one.
But I know a couple of Reebok regulars not going cos their missus wanted a weekend away that date or cos their kids sunday school are doing sommat.
It'd take a lot for me to miss this one.
A lot!

On the flip side, its going to be very hard for me to make the final if we get there. For my own reasons. So I fully understand that people have things in their life that get in the way of football. Lets be honest, we're not all 16 any more. Apart from the 16 year olds on here.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
