Tough at the present time to argue against those calls. WBA are playing quite well right now but have a tough set of fixtures. If wishful thinking though, West Ham would be on on that list, at least for me.

I would tend to agree. If I lived there it would be more cheap close by away ties. The southern press and the rich southern teams would cry their eyes out. Anyway I was born in Lancashire so I'm a homer. I'd like West ham to go down (just for the fun of reading KUMB as the awful day approaches), Wolves (whom I've disliked since Billy Wright's days) and Villa (because they are too big and rich for relegation).

Big win for Aston Villa tonight but they still don't look very good. Wolves have lost their form big time, along with West Ham, but in their defense they did have to play Man U and Bolton so doubt they ever expected any points in those games anyhow.

West Brom are now looking pretty safe. Amazing job by Woy. Should be in the running for manager of the year if only to piss off Liverpool fans. Wigan are looking beat, and Blackpool need to get it going quick. Blackburn still in trouble and as a shock, Sunderland seem to want to join the pack.

Table as it stands. Have to say I'd be surprised if it now went as far as Brum. So I'd say its three from West Ham, Wigan, Wolves, Blackpool and Blackburn.

Looking at the fixtures its tight. A lot of them have to play each other. I reckon Blackpool could well be fooked and West Ham will have to win two of their last three IMO. (Home to Blackburn, Away to Wigan, Home to Sunderland) which is "doable" but would be better than they've managed most of the season. Wolves have winnable games but again I'm just not sure that without Doyle they've got enough. Wigan are too unpredictable so owt could happen with them and Blackburn well you just know they'll end their dismal run by beating us but will it be enough?

I don't think they were playing bad football at the time of his injury. They weren't getting that many results but were very competitive in some tough fixtures. Right now they are getting clobbered most games.

Folk said that about Davo when we were finishing top 8. I'd take someone who isn't a 'good footballer' if his work rate, channel running and hold up play mean the 'good footballers' can go about their goalscoring business.
