that's better. Excellent control by Sturridge.

this is when we find out who needs to get a life. If you watch so much football on TV that you have an opinion on an 18yr old Madrid reserve you need to get out more.

Cue LL then ......

I'll lay it on the line and say he has plenty of ability, he just needs experience in the PL.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Judging from yesterday he reminded me of a poor mans Jimmy Phillips and thats saying sommat!

Don't see the ability meself. Doesn't look great with the ball at feet.

Falls over a lot. As soon as someone runs at him you start sweating because its fairly inevitable he'll be beaten. He lacks pace.

In fact all the things you'd expect from a Spanish full back, pacy, good with the ball, good attacker etc are missing.

But isn't that more because he's still adjusting to the game, Pique was s**** for ManUre but now plays out of his skin for Barce and that may be down to getting a game every week.

Possibly. But its not like you can say he looks full of ability but struggles with the pace or physicality. He just looks shite.

Look perhaps next season he'll be a revelation.

But he's 21 he's had a few games this season and he cost 2M quid! And currently we're only playing him because Coyle is obviously petrified of losing Robbo for the semi and having to play.....Alonso! Says a lot does that!

So is he considering playing , for example, Mark Connolly? Of course not. And its fairly obvious why not. If thats what you mean by says a lot.

I've only seen him play once and thats when he came on for Ronaldo for Madrid against AJ Auxerre in December, he's only 18 and if we can get him at the club then he'll be a huge player for us IMO, showed pace and skills and didn't look out of place in Madrids squad!

Rodrigo would look as good as that if you put him back in Madrid's team.

What exactly do you see in him that suggests he's ever going to be brilliant?
