might not be a bad thing to give him a run-out against west ham - just to regain that little bit of match sharpeness - if he's fit enough, that is... maybe not the full 90mins

I don't think Cohen will let us down - he has a game under his belt now - he'll be a bit sharper - and he can score goals if he gets in the positions..

Need to take the RT's in for a power wash - I'm having a mid week wobble over this one. Bit nervous atm.

Play Cohen, we've beat them under Megson with a midfield of him and Moobs.
Pfffft.

I think you'll find you need to substitiute the word "before" for the word "during".

I'm sure you'll have a point when Coyle plays the reserves against Stoke.

To be fair its more like Allardyce resting the team for the Man City game ahead of Boro in the cup final. Worked out well did that.

Wonder if there'll be any paper planes on Saturday?

I remember the first team hammering Villa 5-2 in the semi, mind.

Gardner's back I believe. That might open up an option or 2 at either LB or midfield. Anyone know how many games he got at Preston, how he did, and what position he was playing?

He played 4 games at left back. I lurked on the PNE forum earlier. They are gutted that they haven't managed to extend the loan deal. One contributor even mentioned he was probably their best loanee EVER. After only 4 games which they won 3. That is some impact.

I've always liked Gardner and would love to see him get a game or two this season if still able to contribute. Sounds like he did a great job at PNE.

He's been a Wanderer for 12 years and a fully fit Ricky Gardner is as good as you'll get at left back. His absences have always been from injury, not form. Two knee injuries at least have taken a big chunk out of his playing time. Nearing the end of his career now but I'd love to see him back in there.

semantics. whatever. i know i were going "Oh. he's gonna play the 'reserves' for some reason, probably for the wigan game.. " before theyd kicked off.

if theydve wrapped american mccann in 'dont play him' swaddling 8 weeks ago he wouldnt have got injured in the united game and would be able to play in the final.
