Non-see-through-plastic-cups
Coke bottle with nowt in to substitute for ones with it in, always kept on the table
Several Coke bottles with various things mixed in hidden in various places in case any are discovered
Lager in flask, chilled
Hip flask in pocket as precaution (might struggle to get favourite/expensive hip flask in to Wembley though...)
Cans wrapped in tin foil in amongst the butties
Vodka injected into melon/apple as a fall back

Are we all this desperate for a drink that we can't do a couple without?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Vodka on the cornflakes. The other half won't notice then.

She bloody well would. It's her vodka. And she's coming along for the trip too...

It's all coming together now. You should start Uncle Kangana's Emergency Advice thread.

Just PM your address for the invoice, wouldn't want it going public...

I've smugly grinned at the thought of Brucie on the official train not being able to get any alcohol. Happy in the knowledge that I wasn't catching the official train but a normal train from Manchester so would have no problems grabbing a pre-prandial scoop or two on the way down and on the way back. Only to later find that all trains from Piccadilly are dry too....

That'll teach me.

Anyone got a bullet point list of all the necessary camouflage techniques?
Well ha, hardy, ha-ha-ha, matey boy! My mate's just secured us both a lift down so we need only to catch the dry train (by which time we'll have had a skinfull anyway) back up!

Jesus, Man you're landing in that London at 11.00! How desparate are you? Do you want me to bring a snifter for the interminably long (5 minute) tube journey to the pub?

Never tried that one. Probably cos I don't have a flask. Sounds risky, stick to the hard stuff.

It was always whisky and lemonade for me at them stupid Uefa games where you couldn't get a drink in the ground.

That sounds potentially like it could be a long run for a short slide.

Spirits - they're the future (well, Sunday's tipple in any case)

That said, my mate came up with another one.

Red wine, anyone? :D

Sure, why not? You can pretend you're drinking it on a plane.

OK, I admit I don't drink Lager.

Bitter works though. Doesn't have to be chilled either. I suggest Flat Cap for the authentic Little-bit-of-Bolton-in-bloodyfuckingnoncingLondon-Town.

There is an outside possibility that a quick half (rather than 15 pints) might just clear the cobwebs from the all day wedding do from the day before that I'm at. It's as much the principle of the thing rather than the actual drinking. And then there's always the way back to consider....

The r5 trailer for the sporting weekend...

a woman constantly pronounces Premier League as if it was Première League (interestingly - no mention of "Barclays"!)

it is not première (premmie-air)
nor is it as some say (pree-me-air)

it is Premier (Premm-ear)

so there!
