BWSA Player of the Year Night...
The Player of the Year awards are here again and your votes have been counted. We’ve seen some great performances this season from long-standing players like Kevin Davies to up-and-coming stars like Stuart Holden and Mark Davies culminating in our first ever visit to the new Wembley Stadium (but let's gloss over that last bit).
The Player of the Year night is on the 28th April in the Lion of Vienna Suite at the Reebok Stadium with a start time of 7.30pm. Here are some of the things taking place:
• Compered by the Voice of the Reebok, Colin McGreavy
• Attended by players and manager
• Pie and peas (possibility of seconds depends on whether or not Tony Kelly is peckish)
• Free refreshments (tea and coffee)
• Exclusive Winkball video tributes
• Awards to be presented by our affiliated charity, Bolton Kidz2gether
• Special guest performance by Norman Prince
• Presentation of the 9 Dart Challenge trophy
• Fantastic exclusive raffle prizes
• Pay bar facility
Plus it has been confirmed that guys from TheMenInWhite.com will be making their first public performance.
We hope you can make this event and we look forward to seeing you down there.
Entry is free to members but guests can pay a fiver (or just join up for a tenner for the year and become a member).
Should be a belter. See you there.

wtf is winkball?
Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
Says on Twitter that Coyle and Davies have confirmed.
I've never been to one before so I'm not going to judge and go with an open mind.

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
It has been confirmed that Owen Coyle & Kevin Davies will be attending.... we can also confirm that Tony Kelly will be giving members a full 10min head start at 'buffet' time...However we strongly suggest hungry members position themselves near the food early on...

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
You advertised lots of attendees at the last one and ended up with you and a few chums
I'll satisfy myself with reading how shite it was the day after

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
Ok... Let me explain …
Due to a lack of communication between the bwsa & the club, We advertised Players would be attending the last social evening...not realising the event fell right bang in the middle of an international break and most of the squad had been given time off and where away with their families...!
The bwsa has learned from this mistake... and will not advertise any players unless confirmed by the club in future...!
You sound very bitter towards the bwsa... have you had a negative experience with the association in the past...?
I can assure you things are changing within the bwsa and their aim is to embrace and represent all Bolton Supporters, not just the few.
So hopefully you can make it down to the Lion of Vienna Suite next Thursday and judge for yourself first hand that it isn't just me and a few chums having a get together, but bwfc supporters from all corners of the stands, doing what we love... Supporting our club and having fun doing it....!

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
The last event was advertised as a white love tribute wasn't it
Was that affected by the break too

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
The last social had an FA Cup theme and we had the 'Stat Prozone' guys giving a demonstration and talk on how we used the Prozone to help us beat Birmingham...the evening was compared by Bolton FM and was attended by around 180 guest who thought the evening was eye opening success... everybody went home with a smile on their face and not one person mentioned the fact that there where no players present...!
We feel these social events should be varied and diverse and give supporters access to all things BWFC related..(I mean, how many times can we ask Kevin Davies what his favourite colour is..?) Why not come along and take a look... let us know what you want of the bwsa or where you think the association can and should improve.. The bwsa can only be as good as the supporters want it to be...!
(It wasn’t ‘White Love’ (that was a fanzine, an excellent one at that) we tried to get one or all of the 'White Hot' trio together but was unable to manage it at such short notice, however we're planning to hold a 'White Hot' night next season, where we hope to have Andy Walker, John McGinlay and Davied Lee as guest... so keep a look out for that..!)

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
Yes, white hot, not white love
You advertised the last event as white hot
It didn't happen
Til you start honouring your promises, forgive my scepticism
180, eh....wooo

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
So you'll just sit at home taking the piss and wait for people to tell you you to go, instead of just going and seeing for yourself?
Like Josh said, things will only change when people go and give their opinion. I'm looking forward to going down and seeing what's going on, it's my first time down there and I'll give my honest feedback once I've actually been.

Re: BWSA Player of the Year Night...
Since October the bwsa has undergone a massive reorganization, we all know the perception the association had (I also had that very same view until I got involved) and it's going to take a while to change that... but we have started ...of course we're going to make mistakes, it's not what we do for a living, it isn't our job and there's no bwsa manual ...we're just supporters like you, volunteering our time trying to put something in place on a par with other successful supporters clubs around the country...and have a say in the future of our club….!
All I can say is bare with us... a strong supporters club can only benefit bwfc supporters and club alike...!
Better still... join up and give us a lift ....

Don't worry I'm sure most appreaciate and understand.

What you ACTUALLY advertised was this (just TWO days before the meeting!!!).josh8 wrote:Ok... Let me explain …

What you are now saying is -
What you gave people instead was -josh8 wrote:..we tried to get one or all of the 'White Hot' trio together but was unable to manage it at such short notice...)

Also seems to me to be a bit rich to post on a forum that you and your fellow BWSA colleagues spammed to join their own forum that they set up as a RIVAL BWFC site to this!
(see last post on page one of the Rouges Gallery - link below. The irony being that Keveh was the one that banned him and the one now supporting yet another of his sites on here!).

We've had issues with what you say and what you do on another forum.
Is it any wonder that people like Capslock (and others) are sceptical of you?
