You were doing really well up till that point! (Not sure about Berra either, on reflection.)martin1877coywm wrote:DJ Campbell from Blackpool, Cleverly from Man Utd, Berra from Wolves, keep Elmander, Konchesky from Liverpool

Quite like Campbell just not sure if his success is more because of Blackpool's system.Zulus Thousand of em wrote:You were doing really well up till that point! Campbell is also shite. Him and Rodallega are Match of the Day players. Every two or three weeks they do something brilliant and everyone thinks they are good, when in reality they both do fook all else. Watch a full game of Odemwingie compared to either one and you'll see the sort of acheivable striker we should be after. Like t'other two can be guilty of missing sitters, and also moments of genius, but his all round leading of the line, movement and channel running, are what we need to replace Sturridge.

Adel Taraabt, anybody?
Re: Who would u like to see at the reebok next season ?
Great player, Taarabt, we couldn't afford him to be honest.
Pfffft.
Re: Who would u like to see at the reebok next season ?
Signing Taarabt would be a disaster. Talented, yes, when out of possession you are basically playing with ten men. If QPR get promoted it will be interesting to see if Warnock's system, built entirely around Taarabt, will actually work.

Berra wouldn't be a bad shout. In the Wheater mould.

I was just trying to think of players that might not be too expensive and that are on teams that might be getting relegated.Zulus Thousand of em wrote:You were doing really well up till that point! Re: Who would u like to see at the reebok next season ?
Well Campbell would be in our price range and it doesn't matter if he performs once out of every three weeks, as you say because we're a mid table club and one win per three games is all we need to keep it that way. We're in huge debt right now and can't afford to be splashing cash out at the moment.Prufrock wrote:Campbell is also shite. Him and Rodallega are Match of the Day players. We can afford to splash out as much as Eddie Davies, Bolton Wanderers fan says we can.martin1877coywm wrote:Well Campbell would be in our price range and it doesn't matter if he performs once out of every three weeks, as you say because we're a mid table club and one win per three games is all we need to keep it that way. And I still wouldn't go for DJ Campbell, he's not performed at a consistently high enough level throughout his career.

Well he's out on loan in the championship and will probably want to leave Liverpool. Plus he is a quality left back and one that can go forward as well.truewhite15 wrote:martin1877coywm wrote:I was just trying to think of players that might not be too expensive and that are on teams that might be getting relegated.Zulus Thousand of em wrote:You were doing really well up till that point! Yeah, and by all accounts doing poorly at Forest as well. If we want to be tailing and catching Liverpool and Everton, the last thing we want to be signing is castoffs who are out of their depth a league below.martin1877coywm wrote:Well he's out on loan in the championship and will probably want to leave Liverpool.
