W*nky wanderers? Its perfectly natural...

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Were it merely sung as "Oh Franky Franky..." they might consider it. But it might not help the Reebok's family-friendly credentials to basically invite everyone in the ground to sing six successive swearwords...

Hmmm not sure about this one. Not sure how the players/manager/owner feel about it, but hey if the fans think its acceptable than whos to argue. You cant take yourself too seriously after all. Its certainly shuts up the opposition fans especially with accompanying hand gestures.

Wolves fans weren't amused when we sang it at Molyneaux thats for sure hehe.

Oh and Its only in the last couple of years that I've heard it, certainly can't remember Wanderers fans singing it at Burnden.
Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

I don't recall US singing this at Burnden Park. As far as I am aware it is only in the last few years that we have sung it.

My recollection is the last few years, but (and the mind plays tricks) I seem to remember a couple of times singing it with gusto at Burnden, at the fag end of its existence. It certainly wasn't a regular thing, and I might have been drunk and joining in with the away end. I've got form.

Nope. The whole Wanky Wanderers thang has definitely only ever come from us over the past few years. Of that I'm sure!

Yep, we've developed a healthier sense of irony over the last few seasons - was never sung in the burnden days to my recollection... I really quite enjoy it now... 2-0 up in injury time later today would be a good one... :D

It was sung on the embankment on the last night there, as we took on the role of the away fans in a bit of a singing contest with the paddock in the first half.
