Honestly, truly, brilliant from the boys in white.

Jussi - couple of excellent stops, and looked commanding.

Steinsson - body on the line, bollocks to the fore defending. In fact, the same could be said for all the defenders.

Cahill - Just a class act. Crucial interceptions, superb tackling.

Knight - Same as above.

Robbo - Same as Steinsson. How much better he looks when he's got someone to assist him.

Chungy - Good defensively. He's been better going forwards though.

Muamba - Never stopped running. Could have been a bit better closing down though.

Elmander - Again looked good in unfamiliar territory. Good with the ball at his feet, tenacious in the tackle.

Taylor - My MOTM. Was just everywhere.

Sturridge - Looked very dangerous.

SKD - properly Super.

Oddly enough, the subs didn't do much (apart from Cohen's goal)...

The perfect response, that one

For all that thinking Cohen got booked, look again.

BBC and Skysports don't have him as receiving one.

edit. Add http://www.premierleague.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to that list too.

Scratch that. Just seen it.

Heartless bastard.

I expected a win today. The players owed it and they delivered against one of the physically and mentally weakest sides you'll ever see. So the script was written.

At the game Cahill got MOTM which to me is just about right.

Do I understand that on telly Kevin Davies got it? Because if so thats just not right. Not from where I was sitting anyways. Put himself about well but he was easily marshalled most of the time and his passing was not great. Ran like buggery though and for that he earns respect but I still feel his time is coming to an end as a regular starter week in week out.

Sturridge was superb gave the Arsenal back line a torrid time.

LCY could and should have got two and could have had a hattrick. Not his greatest game going forwards.

Taylor showed the industry and workrate we need in a game like that and for me put Petrov back in a hutch somewhere.

After the Wembley debacle though a special mention must go to Robbo, against Walcott, he looked a little shaky early doors, but saw him off and effectively played him out of the game. Fantastic.

Steinsson was equally good.

Elmander covered every blade of grass and did a great job in midfield, that didn't stop folks around me giving him stick if he gave the ball away. Funnily enough Davies was not subjected to abuse the numerous times he did the same.

Hey ho.

Still think Knight wanders into no mans land far too often when trying to win the ball, misses it and leaves us exposed.

Superb effort and performance to put last weeks nightmare into the shade just a little. It doesn't make up like, but least it shows they care!

Still has not changed my opinion that its going to be a big big summer for Coyle. Only one player he brought into the club featured today and he is on loan. As he's picking his best side presumably that does not say a lot for the lads he's brought in so far. This summer seeing as Cahill and seemingly Elmander (please stay Johan) are going he's going to need to invest the money we get wisely. And that will be the big test for how good a manager he's going to become IMO!

Agreed on Kev. On these boards I used to give him a lot of undeserved naive stick when i was 5 years younger but in my eyes he was are worst player today. Still he made two tackles so he's obviously got carte blanche for 5 years from most of the faithful. Here's how I saw it. Rating Starters only.

Jussi - 6.5 couple of great blocks, saw the goal late but could have done better imo from the replay. I will own up if i'm wrong (still think he's past it though.)

Steinsson- 7 Fantastic today after the horror of wembley, Gave it his all.

Knight - 8 Couple of fantastic blocks in the first half and some more backs against the wall brilliance in the 2nd.

Cahill - 9 Wow......

Robinson - 6 Very shaky against Walcott at the start but came into it more

Chung Yong - 7 The boy never stopped running!!! Not his best game in a Wanderers shirt by any means but what fecking effort!

Muamba - 6 Unlucky to get booked at the start which kind of meant he couldn't commit the way he'd like. Still looked quite good off the ball.

Elmander- 6. Never stopped working as always, gave the ball away a bit too much for my liking though.

Taylor - 7 His best game in a Wanderers shirt in a long time.

Davies - 5.5 Admirable defensive work but on the ball he was shocking. Poor flicks to feck all, poor passing and a terrible penalty.

Sturridge - 7 Right place, right time and great ball to Chung to set the opportunity up, took too much time on the ball quite on quite a few occasions though.

All in all a good performance and a great day out at the reebok today. Me and the missus are overjoyed. Sunday sun and the Wanderers winning...absolutely beautiful

What a game. Motm for me arguably Cahill, he was just stunning. Van Persie and later on Chamakh were in over his head. Also I would, just like you guys, disagree with the commentator about Davies. He was brilliant in the air and won many balls there, but to be honest it is not the hardest thing on the world against Arsenal, simply because they are awful in the air. His penalty was shite and more missed as saved.

But you have to give the team credit. As much as I was devestated one week ago, as I was delighted by the performance of the team today. They did great against a Arsenal team who struggled to even create chances.

WELL DONE! And now Fulham will go down, Everton is about to lose the seventh place.

5.5 mark for Davies against Arsenal? Mad. His penaty was bad, but he got amongst the defence (often three or four around him) and worked his bollox off. Might not rate man of the match, but 5.5 FFS? .

TD given we've just deservedly beaten Arsenal all his marks were way off.

Kev worked very hard and ran his knackers off. Was more a 7 on a day of 8's and 9's.

Still doesn't change that his legs are definitely catching up on him and his overall game is not up to 38 premiership starts a season for much longer.
