Yeah I thought the same, wish it could have been longer. The people in that crack den were in a sorry state by the end weren't they - couldn't even look at the one whose arms were totally ravaged!

yeah i made the same comments, brilliant bit of makeup that, actually made me heave!

Not reet taken with this Crying Game, its all a bit predictable, had a feeling there was gonna be a homo aspect to it with them two in the ira shed... but as soon as i saw the hairdresser with her big man hands and a voice like Barry White, it lost a bit of credibility for me. flippin obvious.

fergus hasnt found her chopper yet tho.. oh hang on, aye there it is!

    Horrible.

can I ask how it is you recognise that it is Adele singing? I've got this far without knowing who she is - what she looks like or what she sounds like... am I missing out?
Me also. There was a Masterchef on last night? I couldn't tell you a single tune that's been played on the entire series.
Anyway, tomorrow night is apparently the day of reckoning, and I'll be on a 400 mile round trip to watch our lot play a meaningless game at Fulham.
BTW, if anyone needs a lift there and back then let me know. You'll have to sort out your own digs, like, as I'll be staying at my mates who lives fairly nearby, but the offer stands.

Really? I've heard decent things about it...

But then, I was apparently the only person in the world who enjoyed Paranormal Activity...

Yea I heard good things about it too, I can't believe anyone would enjoy this film. I have seen some poor horrors in my time, but I really can't think of any worse than this. My friend, who is a fan of Paranormal Activity also agreed with me about how bad it was. I won't ruin it for you but the story is a joke, none of it links together at all, the 'demon' sucks, the actors are completely unlikeable so you want bad things to happen to them, and not one point of the film made me jump. The scares are cheap and you can see them coming a mile off (oh I will just put my hand in this draw in a dark room, suddenly another 'ghost' hand appears, yawn>). Seriously Saw 3-d was better than this garbage.

Not being rude or owt, Kev, but is there such a thing as a decent horror film? The one's that I've seen have ranged between pathetic to embarrassing. Genuine question.

Depends on what kind of horror you're into for a start, whether it be gore-fests, sci-fi or pyschological. I think regardless of genre, Alien and Aliens are two of the best films ever made, both of which are completly different style films. Pyscho and for me Pyscho 2 are also excellent. Maybe you just don't like horror style films I don't know watch you've watched. Alot of Asian horrors such as Ju-On The Grudge and The Eye really build up the tension and The Grudge 2 (asian version again) is probably the most scared I've ever been during a film. Of course, horrors should be watched on your own or with your missues, in the dark and with the surround sound right up. Furthermore, films such as Predator, Nightmare on Elm Street 1, The Hitcher, The Exorsist, The Thing, Dawn of the Dead and comedy horrors such as Brain Dead and Bad Taste are all classics in my opinion.

I think a good film always sticks with you in memory, and all of these films have iconic moments in film history for me. Films such as Hostel and Saw are what I like to call MTV horror, films for the masses who can't be bothered to find real decent horrors. American movies are made to create a profit, while foreign directors are generally given freedom allowing them to push their films to the limit of their imagination. The French film Martyrs blows crap like Saw away, while the Indonesian 2009 release The Forbidden Door is another good horror. I could easily go on and mention Japanese blood bath movies such as Mutant Girls and Onechanbara, twisted but intriguing movies such as The Human Centipede, or the more gore-infested Grindhouse American releases such as Machette and Planet Terror all as examples of decent horrors. As you can see I'm quite a horror fan, and I think some, not all of the films I mentioned explore many greater issues than 'who is going to get out alive'. Whether it be ghosts of the past, dealing with issues of trauma, family tensions, abuse, mental health issues, political turmoil, inner demons, social conflict, etc., horrors can make you think beyond the simple and pose some serious questions for the viewers to contemplate.

I'll watch the second episode of "Exile" tonight. I wasn't expecting much last night but I thought it was pretty good - and had some good laughs in it despite the subject matter.

Looks like they take a trip to and Oldham match in tonight's episode, no wonder his dad went mad!
