You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

a common young man's fantasy that a fit older woman will give him the benefit of all her "experience"...
(later in life this gives way to the fantasy that a younger woman will give him the benefit of her youthful firmness!)

Yeah, age is a percentage thing. 15 at twenty. Have 999 on s(peado) dial
.

In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Re: Teenage angst....
A list of options..
1) Link him to this thread.
2) Tell him to man the hell up, go out and drink irresponsibly and get carted home by his mates at 3 in the morning.
3) Get one of his mates to tell him to man the hell up, drink irresponsibly and get carted home by friends at 3am.
Though yeah, can sympathise with him. At his age I was an angst-ridden mophead listening to far too much Smiths and writing *cringe* poems and lyrics with REAL MEANING, failing with every attempt to get with a member of the opposite sex. Apart from the whole chasing girls who are still at secondary school thing.

Haaaaa the bosses daughter thing! Too many fantasy stories that young lads been reading it'll be the bosses wife next (Or better still, both).
Sympathise with him but there ain't no "cure" most males lust after the "unreachable" ones then you find later on they only like pound notes and a fat bank account to pay the personal trainer they then lust after

Less you, but you are so wrong
He may not have set out with that intent but it'll be there by now ... Or very soon at least. Extracate yourself now.
Then there's the age thing. B-hell, imagine being her father.
Thirdly the fact that he's "punching above his weight" with this 15 or 16 year old. That's not just in looks & money, but maturity (despite her age). He's obviously not up to this, needs to get himself a girl neaarer his age and intelect.
... Or drink. Drink & drugs. They may help.
Now STOP trying to help him. His immaturity will v soon have him feel warmly (yuk) about a woman who's listening him, taking him seriously and showing care for him.
bless you, but you are soooo bloody wrong there.Gooner Girl wrote:I'm 10 years older then him bish! To a 20 year old that's positively ancient! Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Teenage angst....
If he's 20 and he's struggling to gain the interest of a 15 year old then I suggest he has huge problems.
Either he's ugly as sin or a bit simple or both.

Alas GG, she has rejected my advances - she seems quite cool towards me - she won't answer my calls... I'm heartbroken and confused...Gooner Girl wrote:Ahhh, is that where you are now then Bish? Amy Pond in her hotpants?thebish wrote:

I was wondering if I might come round late one evening - one when MrGG is out perhaps - and you can advise me.. I really am feeling very low and confused and don't know where to turn - you're the only one who will understand and I think I need some sympathetic company right now... (perhaps you could wear those hotpants?)

Wear hotpants and have you imagining i'm really Amy Pond?! As irresistable as you are Bish, you should know by now most ladies don't want to be anyones second best!thebish wrote:Alas GG, she has rejected my advances - she seems quite cool towards me - she won't answer my calls... Re: Teenage angst....
I think you're all far too suspicious over his intentions but theres some good advice in there amongst the slightly less helpful bits. If i speak to him again i will tell him to give up and find someone else, plenty more fish in the sea etc. (poor lad, can't help but feel sorry for him, unrequited love is painful!)bobo the clown wrote: bless you, but you are soooo bloody wrong there.

You're saving him a prison beating and social stigma, so think of it as a cruel to be kind moment.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Re: Teenage angst....
She might be 16 already if shes halfway through year 11 but you have a point! The age thing never occured to me when he was telling me about it (am i getting so old that i just lump anyone younger then me into the same 'young people' age bracket? Worrying...)Lord Kangana wrote:You're saving him a prison beating and social stigma, so think of it as a cruel to be kind moment.

I'll let you into a secret... you know how women generally believe that men are simple one-track beings as opposed to the fiendishly complex and devious woman?
well... it's not really true! but it can sometimes suit men to allow women to keep believing that they are not capable of such multi-levelled complex deviousness...
(and - you'd never lose out in a contest with Amy Pond)

i very much doubt he wants a sympathy shag! For a start i'm 30, 10 years older then him, so he's hardly gonna fancy me is he! Secondly, i'm pretty sure he knows i am married and thirdly hes a spurs fan!

May the bridges I burn light your way
