Isn't Bellamy looking to trade his knees in for Jimmy Bullards?

Physios won't know what to do with themselves when Joey O and Ricardo leave otherwise.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Boyata seems to me to be a non-starter as well, unless City have gone charitable and fancy giving us another £15-20mil in three years time.

If we were to sign Bellamy, I doubt Coyle would fancy having his training sessions dictated to him by Raymond Verheijen. One of the reasons Mancinin was so keen to offload him.
"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
I cant see Arsenal bid more than 12 million for him, funny enough Arsenal making a move depends on another ex Bolton player....Kyle Bartley who's made it clear if Arsenal sign another defender he will have to move on. he's an ex Bolton youth player who belongs to Arsenal now and will be 20 this month. he has had loan spells at Sheff utd and Glasgow Rangers. I think the most likely option is he will be promoted and Arsenal wont even make a bid for Cahill. My prediction is he will sign for City

I think you're probably right unfortunately. Wengers bought several defenders in the past few seasons, he wouldn't want to admit he got it wrong and that they aren't good enough, you know what he's like...Abs wrote:I cant see Arsenal bid more than 12 million for him, funny enough Arsenal making a move depends on another ex Bolton player....Kyle Bartley who's made it clear if Arsenal sign another defender he will have to move on. he's an ex Bolton youth player who belongs to Arsenal now and will be 20 this month. he has had loan spells at Sheff utd and Glasgow Rangers. Also we have vermaelen coming back and wenger will no doubt declare that thats 'like having a new signing'

Man city will probably pay over the odds to have him as a bench warmer...

Now then. Here's one for you. T'Rervers at work reckon that all this talk of Cahill to Arsenal is just a smokescreen as their real objet du désir is Chris Samba.

Wengers been interested in Samba before allegedly if you believe newspaper reports.Bruce Rioja wrote:Now then. Here's one for you. T'Rervers at work reckon that all this talk of Cahill to Arsenal is just a smokescreen as their real objet du désir is Chris Samba.
Apparently he was close to going for him in the summer and in January.
But was put off by the price for a player who isn't a young and fragile "ball playing centre back".
The fact he was exactly the player Arsenal needed and who knows could have actually help them win something didn't seem to come into it.

Samba himself referred to it this week: "I think a move to Arsenal was very close in January but that is life. You have to continue."BWFC_Insane wrote:Wengers been interested in Samba before allegedly if you believe newspaper reports. No, he's not the player Arsenal need. Arsenal need young, frail, swift, passy-passy midfielders. They need them. They NEED them. They need them, man, it's been so long since the last one, I'm Jonesing here, I NEED A YOUNG PASSY MIDFIELDER NOW!!!!BWFC_Insane wrote:The fact he was exactly the player Arsenal needed and who knows could have actually help them win something didn't seem to come into it.

The Stoke fans response to Arsenal this past weekend was priceless.

1435: Arsene Wenger looks like a man who has seen it all before, which he clearly is this season. "One-nil, to the rugby team" is the latest chant from the Stoke fans.
1417: More "boring, boring" chants from Stoke's fans. They have barely touched the ball yet, the Potters. Andrey Arshavin's aimless, abysmal ball into the area stops that move.
1410: "Boring, boring" is the chant from the Stoke fans as Arsenal play keep-ball for a while. Hope they don't ever invite Barca to the Britannia for a pre-season friendly. What a chance that is for Robin van Persie, he is put in on the right by Aaron Ramsey but toe-punts his shot just wide of the angle of post and bar.
