On this day...

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

If not, Dean, I apologise

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

No, you're not the only one - seems weird to me too...
Exactly. To be honest I'd never heard of this book until today. However, I'd love to get hold of a copy now and to have seen the guy's royalties be paid to charity. That said, regardless of what the guy's done, surely you can't simply divert his dues on moral grounds? Afterall, he isn't profiting from his wrong-doings?
It's the old question about art and artists, albeit at a lower level. Many of the most celebrated writers/painters/musicians have been fairly despicable people, if not kiddly-fiddlers. In this instance, though, I can see why BWFC wouldn't want to be promoting a man whose name brings shame.
Remind me - what is that old question? And which of those artists did you find particularly despicable? And do you think there is real evidence that artists behave as a group more despicably than, say, nurses, estate agents or - even - journalists... ?

Q: If the artist is hateful, should you hate the art?

And no, no evidence that artists behave worse than anyone else, but art more than any other sphere (except perhaps professional sport) seems to exalt its practitioners to demi-god status. How many fan clubs are dedicated to nurses, estate agents or journalists?

Can we call Hitler an artist (And possibly a writer)? He was pretty despicable.

Caravaggio killed someone in a fight but that was in the early 17th Century.

I certainly don't think they have a higher murder rate than any other profession but as a percentage they probably suffer more from bouts of depression or mental illness. This is certainly backed up by the amount who have committed suicide over the centuries.

Paul Jones was a footballer (you know the cute ones in the shorts 8) ) who played nearly 450 games for Bolton between 1970 and 1983.

She's actually been to the 'Bok more than the Emirates. We live to far from the Emirates to be fair.Although I did go to the Emirates Cup last year and probably plan on going again this year

Really? It was interesting but I wouldn't say I was lucky. It's not like she's not been entertained at the Reebok this season. Brum, Blackpool, Stoke, Spuds, Toon, Villa and Gooners. All great games
