I'm sure he wouldn't mind. Let's weigh the wedge first though; Citeh will probably win any auction, and they'll be offering Champions Lge football..

Meantime, came across this interesting snippet archived from the Mail on Sunday: who's the fastest, slowest and fittest player at each PL club? Try to guess before looking. (It is, admittedly, a small sample, but intriguing nonetheless.)

Fair enough, although it was cached on a different site, and you've spoiled the game now :D

Sorry

that's the sort of spoiler I am on the football pitch, so why change now ;)

PS - I wouldn't have guessed the fittest, I seem to remember some Taylor-lovers pointing to the amount of ground he covers as a cover for his other failings.

PPS - Now I think about it, I remember attending a seminar given by someone at OPTA and they said at the time that big Matty indeed covered the most ground during the game (think that was about 12 months ago)..

Hmm. Why have I used PS and PPS when I'm not writing a letter? Maybe it's because I'm cool. 8)

It's an interesting snapshot, but a snapshot is all it is: from one game. Perhaps Muamba could run faster had he needed to, but he was always in position. Although on Saturday poor old limping Mooey was thoroughly outpaced by Bolo Zenden, age 96. It brought to mind They Shoot Horses, Don't They?

Elmander the hardest working Bolton player is hardly a surprise.

I suggested as much earlier in the season. Its bloody obvious that he runs a lot.

Mind he has had to considering he's been playing with a strike partner who's hardly moved for large chunks of the season!

The idea that Muamba, Essien, and Asamoah Gyan are each the slowest player at their club points my min din the direction of bullshit, which is odd coming from the Mail, which is normally so calm and reasoned.

Makes me laugh that. When I play 5-a-side later I'd probably get 22.37

Muamba slow. Yeah.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

And slower than Taylor and Robinson? I don't think so.

Aye - rather too many 22.37's in there for it to be anything like convincing.

Taylor has fairly regularly been mentioned as Bolton's player that covers the most yards from within the Club, but could certainly see the case for Elmander this season.

We need to keep him because our defense would be hopeless without him. But if we do get rid of him, it doesn't matter to where, as long as someone gives us over 20m because he's worth it.

I can't remember anyone talking about Ben Haim in 20M terms and if they were then they wanted sectioning.

He were ok. Solid for us, though I always thought he was a bit average at times.

Since he left he's been shown up as being pretty poor.

I'd get Ben Haim back just to play him twice a year against Man Utd and wind the shit up out of Rooney
