i'd be majorly surprised if Pratley had signed whilst Swansea were still in with a chance of promotion to the PL, but we'll see.

Dyer is shite. Sinclair about 28 times better.
Dyer was voted Swansea fans player of the season this year, their 'keeper won the players player. Sinclair won next to feck all.

I haven't seen nearly enough of either, but I'd guess they have.

There's no way in the world we've signed a lad who's been charged with rape.

West Ham Chairman was saying yesterday that plenty of players would be on there way out .. Upson and Dyer out of contract and free to leave. Wouldn't be all that surprised if Owen has a word with Upson.

Imagine a CB pairing of Knight and Upson :lmfao: :hang:

I'd like us to start looking at the relegation threatened squads;

Hitzlsperger & Noble - West Ham
Johnson & Larsson - Birmingham
Moses & N'Zogbia - Wigan
Nzonzi, Samba, Roberts & Olsson - Blackburn
Phillips - Blackpool
Jarvis, Hammill, Doyle & Berra - Wolves

The issue with all of these is the extra parachute payments means clubs can hang onto more of their players without selling em off cheap. Also there will be competition for most of em driving up the prices.

I don't rate Noble, Moses hasn't done enough. Nzogbia we have no chance with, nor Samba or Olsson.

I'd love to see Hitzlsperger at the club. We have no one who shoots from outside the box, and this is a huge weakness IMO

Aye, as will our ability to match whatever the Spammers are paying him... The vast majority (if not all) of "bigname" players at West Ham will be on wages outside of our price range...

Spector we maybe alright with - though I'm not convinced with him myself, after that... The big boys will be in playing for most of West Hams failures anyhow.

Wiggin... again I think bigger boys than us will be after the ones you'd want N'Zogbia and Rodellega

Personally, I'd like us to look at either Johnson or Dann if Brum go... ideal replacements for Cahill.

In terms of Blackpool, the one you'd really want is Adam, but again the big boys will be after him. I know he's on loan but that Puncheon chap would be ok from Southampton. Vaughn would be another decen one from them.

so.... let me think... you're suggesting Coyle should not even bother approaching clubs for players who (by some unstated definition) we "have no chance with"?

I was saying the other day, I wouldn't be at all shocked if Cahill went and was replaced by Upson.

I'd be fecking apalled.

And Bish, I suspect they are not the kind of players Coyle will be looking at anyways. I imagine he'll be looking at ones who have something to prove, younger end of the market, who aren't on big money now....

Its just every year people list a load of names from relegated clubs NONE of which we ever sign or are even remotely linked to.

If we were a richer club then I suspect it would be different.

linked with a slightly damaged decent premiership - booooooooo!! waste of money - permacrock!

Aye.

I'm hoping Coyle will get the right players but I doubt it will be many if any of the suggestions anyone makes on here.

Personally I think the championship is ripe for picking if the manager knows what he's doing. Got to pick the players before they become household names.

Wheater is a good example, got him for £2.5M.

I imagine were he at say West Ham even though they went down we'd end up paying a lot more and a bigger wage too!

I'd take Ba from West Ham. I've probably changed my mind on DJ Campbell too.. He scared our backloine shitless on Saturday. Never stops running. His finishing can be erratic, but by god he gets himself into so many goalscoring positions

Good point re: Campbell. He's worth a shot considering his goalscoring record this season for struggling Blackpool!

I'd love to see Samba & Hitzlsperger here next season.

The big clubs won't be falling over themselves to sign Spammers. The top six are in a different league to the rest of us, and not one of their players is good enough to improve them. And their fans will be demanding bigger name signings than they have to offer.

As has been mentioned, Rodallega is too inconsistent for a top club, so the height of our competiton for a player like that will be Newcastle or Villa. Scratch Villa, as they have just signed Bent for big money.

Samba I'd say does have what it takes to compete at the top, so there'll be big competiton for him. He might aswell stay put as pop down the road to a very similar club. And besides, we have two limited but physical defenders. We need something different if Cahill is going.

In short, I think most of the names mentioned are well within the realms of possibility/probability.

It's bollocks to take 20 or so different people's opinions on something, merge them all into one, and then say 'Oooh look he can't win'. Unless it's all one person, which is isn't.

Anyway, I don't rate Hitzlsperger and I don't think a hypothetical frontline of Davies, Klasnic and Doyle would be an improvement on what we have now. Samba would be fine, albeit I think he'd have better offers.
