Wouldn't disagree. They can all leave, for me. Don't rate any of them - Cahill aside.

I can only assume this something he does deliberately. If he stands up straight he will struggle to get down to the low shots. If he crouches low he can't get to the high shots. I am only guessing but is there a bigger percentage of similar shots in the middle or down low than high into the roof of the net?Bruce Rioja wrote:Lofthouse Lower wrote:I'm still completely undecided about what to do with the goalkeepers next season.
Wouldn't be unhappy to see Jussi continue
Wouldn't be unhappy to see Ali be no.1
Not sure.
How many times have we seen this this season where Jaaskelainen just falls to his knees whilst offering a token wave? Far, far too many for me. Cheers Jussi, but you've had it, owd lad!
I don't think for a minute think this is down to reaction speed and age.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

He's been playing too much 5 aside. Needs to remember that these goals are 8 feet tall

Wait a minute. So your suggesting if he had stood a bit taller he could have saved it?Bruce Rioja wrote:Lofthouse Lower wrote:I'm still completely undecided about what to do with the goalkeepers next season.

It's not, unless his reaction speed has been shot to shit for the last decade. He's always done it.malcd1 wrote:I can only assume this something he does deliberately. It's Jussi's method IIRC. In a previous Jussi discussion Caps had some insight he'd heard off someone about it, which I've now forgotten.

Just spotted this thread
I clocked Jussi last week looking at those new houses being built near Tesco (next to old British Aersopace), with his little lad. i wonder if that means he is staying ?

Jussi won't be sold and will not go to another club. Ludicrous suggestion. He will simply be a bit part player next year at worst!

Or if it means he's got enough money to buy a house and not worry about having to sell it immediately if work takes him elsewhere. Not that I apply any ethical wrongness to that.HM Murdock wrote:I clocked Jussi last week looking at those new houses being built near Tesco (next to old British Aersopace), with his little lad. i wonder if that means he is staying ?
It's well known that he and his family are very settled in the area. It's quite likely that if he moved clubs, he might commute as much as is possible (and I'd imagine it's more possible for goalkeepers than outfielders to train with their team-mates less frequently).
