So actually a price reduction. Very well done BWFC.Lofthouse Lower wrote:No price increase, no VAT increase. New interest-free direct debit scheme to spread the cost over seven months.

Let me know if so; might try to spring for me dad's ticket again.William the White wrote:I'm in - not sure if I'm renewing my seat though... may be returning to the LL...
And yet there's a waiting list. More proof of the haves and have-yachts. Be glad that our loyal hardcore hasn't been priced out (to anything like that extent; I'm sure there are folks who can't afford even these, perhaps the best value STs in the EPL).James B wrote:absolutely disgusting prices from arsenal. football is so f*cked in this country

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
My friend that you nearly met, well, one year he allowed in his budgets for the year that they should expect to get to 'at least' the fourth round of the FA Cup. They got put out by Orient in the third (true story). He hasn't done it since.thebish wrote:we should include free tickets to all cup finals...jimbo wrote:Don't we get free tickets to reserve home games as well?Bruce Rioja wrote:"All Arsenal prices do also include seven cup games"
A little presumptious, no? Do they get money back if they get put out early on?
So, my question remains (and we need GG's imput here) and assuming they're not including CL games, it's all well and good saying that seven cup games are built into it but;
a/ there's no guarantee that they'll play more than two cup games.
b/ There's no guarantee that they'll play ANY cup games at The Emirates.
As such - can Arsenal supporters expect a refund on any unused from the seven allocated?

No. And as an aside, the legal precedent that you can't get money back on any league games ST holders don't attend was set by Bolton Wanderers, successfully defending themselves against a court claim from someone who'd missed a game.Bruce Rioja wrote:As such - can Arsenal supporters expect a refund on any unused from the seven allocated?
Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
and that seems fair enough - just like if you buy a theatre ticket and then don't go - you can't claim your money back. A very different issue than the one Bruce poses - which would be like you buying a theatre ticket and then the theatre cancelling the performance... I'd want my money back then...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:No. And as an aside, the legal precedent that you can't get money back on any league games ST holders don't attend was set by Bolton Wanderers, successfully defending themselves against a court claim from someone who'd missed a game.Bruce Rioja wrote:As such - can Arsenal supporters expect a refund on any unused from the seven allocated?
still - DSb is right - no!

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
maybe it's more like....
buying a ticket for Haye-Klitschko (sp?)
and Haye has said he would knock Klitschko out in the 8th round
but then he knocks him out in the 2nd.
can you claim 3/4 of your ticket price back?
answer: no!
I guess it might depend on wording If arsenal said "this season ticket is valid for all our home cup games" - then they are OK and the risk is your. If they specify "seven cup games" - then it is a bit odd.
the bit I quoted was from a newspaper - not from the Arsenal T&Cs for season tickets.

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
They're not exactly cancelling, there just isn't a performance. It's hardly their choice. Perhaps clubs could offer fans STs with a variety of additional cup stubs, but then why should they?thebish wrote:A very different issue than the one Bruce poses - which would be like you buying a theatre ticket and then the theatre cancelling the performance... I suspect they say nothing of the sort anyway (see my edit above) - in which case - nothing to see here!!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:They're not exactly cancelling, there just isn't a performance. Which would surely then invoke the 'goods not fit for the purpose for which they were sold' clause in the Sale of Goods Act, no?thebish wrote:and that seems fair enough - just like if you buy a theatre ticket and then don't go - you can't claim your money back. Presumably when Arsenal advertise they say "includes UP TO 7 cup home games". Or something along those lines.Bruce Rioja wrote:Which would surely then invoke the 'goods not fit for the purpose for which they were sold' clause in the Sale of Goods Act, no?thebish wrote:and that seems fair enough - just like if you buy a theatre ticket and then don't go - you can't claim your money back. Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
Really happy with that, as DSB says with a "VAT-freeze" in effect the prices have been reduced. The 0% thing is ideal for me as I was looking at getting 2 half season tickets to spread my cost, this is even better.
Really good decision by the club, I hope it results in record season tickets sold.
In truth, I'd have accepted a slight increase and the 0% thing (given the APR for comparison on that last season was somert daft like 17%, maybe more)

They can make Adult season tickets £100 and give you a Mars Bar at everym home game, we still wouldn't sell them all

first I'd check if that's what they have actually said!!! I suspect they might actually say something like "all our home cup games" - and the newspaper has totted that up to a potential "7" (not sure with what formula!)

A little presumptious, no? Do they get money back if they get put out early on?so thats 3 definite home games (4 if we have to qualify...) before you even get started on Carling Cup and FA Cup...
