Haven't done the Vermeer but have done the other two. I'd rather eat my own shit than go to the Van Gogh museum again, to be honest.thebish wrote:hmmm... what will beefheart do???

Our shower is broken and a bath is much nicer - warm and bubbly, cup of tea and a good book. You should try it sometime Hoboh! Very relaxing!Hoboh wrote:Gooner Girl wrote:Can't decide whether to have a nice long, hot bath or put the washing away...

Hahaha, sod off!! I've had a hair cut and I'm looking better for it. I do like some questionable stuff, but there's some acts on this bill in Barcelona that I'm sure you'd dig as well.Bruce Rioja wrote:I have a mental image of some of Hotdog's bands taking to the stage.

How are you fixed for a miserable round of the ancient game soon?

First day of my Level Two today. Good fun so far, and a hiouuuuuuge step up from Level One. The two 'educators' (grrrrr) both seem top blokes too, one one of whom is one Glenn Keeley. I'd never heard of him, but I gather from some of the older blokes on the course he once twatted Graeme Souness, so he'll do for me.
According to the old man he played a dozen or so games for us in the eighties, was he any good? Also played for Chorley.

University's Creative Writing degree show at the Octagon today and tomorrow. Graduating BA and MA students read selections of their poetry, fiction and drama. Excellent event. Followed next month by the degree show for Art and Design students, which is always outstanding. Mostly friends and family attending, but the public welcome also.

FA Level 2 coaching? I've done that, was blimming hard work compared to the other Level 2's i have done (athletics, trampolining, swimming) I reckon it was easily as much work as my level 3 athletics. Level 1's are a piece of piddle though, most of the time you just have to turn up to pass.Prufrock wrote:First day of my Level Two today. Good fun so far, and a hiouuuuuuge step up from Level One.
Good luck with the rest of it Prufrock.

Aye, and thanks. It isn't easy. Just finished the first five days. Go three more support days, then a final assessment weekend, and an interview day. Good mix of people on it, and a very steep learning curve. I'm enjoying it though, and I think I'm 'getting it'. The Level 1 things are a piece of piss, but they have to be. I don't know about other sports but every junior football team has to have at least one level one coach associated with them. As such they can't afford to fail many people or so many teams would have to fold.
As for my course, there aren't any people you can say will definitely pass, there's a few I think will fail, and the rest it depends on the day, the topic, and how much they put into it. I hope I am in the latter category!
