Buying tickets on the day.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Buying tickets on the day.

Post by hi there, i'm chris » Fri May 20, 2011 7:08 pm

My friend is travelling to the match on Sunday and want's to buy at the ticket office. However he came across this on the website -

"Man City Tickets On General Sale
Tickets for the final game of the 2010/11 season are now on general sale to fans with a previous booking history"

Is this really the case? He doesn't have any history, so does this mean he won't be able to buy tickets? If it's true, then I'm assuming it's to stop away fans turning up and buying tickets, but how would people going for the first time get around this?

I'm unable to go to the match. I'm considering buying tickets with my season ticket online but I'm not sure how the ticket system works.

Can't see you getting round it. I'd suggest he gets someone else to buy them online (they need references on there) and make sure you set it for collection. They do it for quite a few games where the fans have sold their allocation and will try and get tickets in our end.

Yeah that was the other option. Isn't there an eticket option, where I could forward the email to him and he prints it off?

Yeah there is.
I'd advise you to buy online anyway, it's dead simple really
