A forward line of Bent and Sturridge would be top draw

I still doubt Sturridge will be for sale, this season at least..depending on who the manager is at Chelsea next season I could imagine a scenario with anelka leaving this transfer window and drogba perhaps the year after..at which time sturridge could return to chelsea and be 'salomon kalou mk 2'. A good player but will always be out of favour/deemed to be viewed as a 'super sub' only.

I'd be surprised if Chelsea didn't bring in either another striker (neymar perhaps) or a high level playmaker to sit behind torres/drogba (kaka/pastore etc.) but still can't seeing them give up on Daniel just yet..

Maybe we should try for both? A forward line of The Elk and Sturridge?
Pfffft.

I believe John Carew will be leaving Stoke. Has he still got it?

BTW...a forward line of Bent & Sturridge would be frighteningly good.

As much as I like you Jimmy, John Carew is not a good option for us. He has exactly ripped up trees at Stoke and to be fair I think he's a bit injury prone.

Forward line of Bent and Sturridge would be amazing, they just have to sort out the other 9 players and they could win the league
Pfffft.

Who's making that decision? The bloke with the dicky heart who might not be there next season, or his assistant manager who might not be there next season?

Bent and Sturridge are too similar to work together I reckon. Infact I'm convinced Sturridge is the new Darren Bent...maybe

I'd have a gamble on Agbonlahor, lost his way a bit there hasn't he.

Carew, last summer I would of LOVED us to sign that guy, always rated him....past it now though.

According to the BN, JoB's contract will not be renewed. This information will surprise nobody.

Bent and Sturridge will not be a good partnership.

I'd be amazed if the person making the spending decisions at Villa saw it as a good piece of business just after spunking loads of cash on Bent. They'll be after midfielders this summer if they've anything about them.

Which may just release Reo Coker. He's one of the ones who could be a good addition for us. Whether he'd move to be part of a 4, rather than a guaranteed first teamer is debatable though.

Indeed - especially after they valued Ireland at £8M in the deal that took whatsisface to Man City. Maybe we could tell that that Muamba's the new Glenn Hoddle. Has to be worth a go.

Hargreaves being released by ManUre, will he take a place up on the Quinton Fortune/Ricardo Vaz Te/Joey O memorial injury bench?
Pfffft.

Demba Ba available on a free because of a relegation clause, didn't realise he's scored 7 in 12 in a crap team

Gartside hinted at already having a couple of bosman's in the pipleline. Nugent and Pratley? That'd be my guess.

"Who is to say I am not out there and have a couple of Bosmans lined up myself? But I am not naming any names."

I am sure we will end up with a striker choice most of us will be happy with. We have stayed in the PL longer than even most of us expected, and the management are a big reason why.

Ok so who would we take from the relegated clubs - I'd take Dann or Johnson to replace Cahill although both will be in high demand
