I've got a feeling that Adam just wont cut it anywhere else and that someone is going to waste a lot of money on him. Dont we have any links in Scandinavia anymore? Oh, for a cheap Frandsen, Johansen or Jensen.

How about Puncheon? Goes back to Southampton and I think he'll have had his head turned by Premier League football. Thought he would be just the type of player that Coyle would like?
Pfffft.

Well Wigan are up, so Rodallega is off reservation.
And I have a feeling that it just over-complicated the Al Habsi situation.
Wolves somehow or other contrived to stay up, so O'Hara is now most probably also off limits.
Samba was probably always a non-starter, but they can name their price now (or is he out of contract? Still, Bob is about all the hope we've got...).
I don't think West Ham have anything, which leaves us Brum and Blackpool's carcasses to pick at.
The footballing gods have been doing some serious frowning on us the last 6 weeks, haven't they?

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Zigic tempts as a long-term Davo replacement
I'd imagine Parker will end up somewhere, I doubt it will be with us
Zigic is a whole new level of bobbins. Gardner is a good player, but no way mobile enough for our cherished 4-4-2 so I'd say no. Ridgewell is also utter wank. Danns I'd have, Johnson will be off somewhere more glamorous.

have always been in the "no" camp when discussion of Steven Fletcher came up but he was superb today,
will Wolves want/need both him and Doyle?

Said the same earlier. Was quite impressed with him earlier in the season but I would add I haven't seen him that much. That's why we have scouts though.TKIZ! wrote:How about Puncheon? Why wouldn't they? It's the best part of a £15mil strikeforce.lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:have always been in the "no" camp when discussion of Steven Fletcher came up but he was superb today,

Craig Gardner is Kevin Nolan. I don't see him leaving Birmingham though.
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
I said that about Gardner to my brother the other day. New Kevin Nolan. Good player in the right system. Our current one isn't it.

Prufrock. I was just looking at your signature. First time I noticed it because I read the Lion of Vienna today. Is that George Taylor to Nat Lofthouse?
Anyway with all the 10 or so departures it's going to be a full-on transfer window. Shame Birmingham are up and shame about Elmander as that limits our kitty a lot.
We'll need a few frees and a couple of loans and probably promote Eaves, Ward and maybe Vela to the first team.

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
What about a testimonial game for Ricky G.?
Surely no-one would begrudge a man who's spent almost his entire career here, who I have never heard complain, who refreshed the team in the last few weeks and who was lauded for his performances on loan at Preston!
I don't think it unjustified not to offer him a contract, but for god's sake we should be given the chance to thank him for his services.
Remember Munich?

F*ck Me - Ricky was one of our best (and definitely quickest) players yesterday who looked like he was trying. OK so he's not in the first flush of youth and the possibility of yet another injury is always there but, if played in the right position (and central midfeld isn't it) he's well worth his place in the squad.

I'd have thought given our low numbers that Gardner was worth a deal? It would depend how much he wanted, but he's experienced and versatile and hasn't done much wrong the past few weeks (apart from not really being a central midfield player).
He was clearly very down on the walkround yesterday.

Gutted if it's true ricky isn't getting a new deal. I would have thought his versatility and the fact he always gave 100% are exactly what we need in a team with low numbers and the fans love him. thought he would be coyle's kind of player too despite age and injury record. Hope he gets a Chance to say goodbye
