Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Well according to this Newcastle have pinched Pratley from under our noses.
Wouldn't surprise me to be honest.

fecking hell he's fallen on his arse. Premier League coach to Talksport website contributer in the space of a month.
If it is true then I wouldn't be arsed, I want players at BWFC who want to be here, not simply auctioning themselves off to the highest bidder.
Last person to do that was Dan Gosling, he's played about two minutes of football since.
I do think we'll sign him though, Talksport are notorious for being wide of the mark.

Also, if he's signed a pre-contract with us and then, subsequently, a pre-contract with Newcastle; does our pre-contract preclude their pre-contract?

not startlingly new - but still rumbling....
Click Lancashire wrote:According to reports Bolton Wanderers are interested in Southampton winger Jason Puncheon.
The midfielder impressed while on-loan at Blackpool in the second-half of the Premier League season.
The Daily Star claims Wanderers are in a battle with Scottish giants Rangers for the signature of the Saints winger.
It is understood the South Coast club is now prepared to cash in on their star man and buy big following their promotion to the Championship.

again - by no means new - but this article suggests £20million PLUS Onuoha - rather than (as others have speculated £8million plus Onuaoha.) which would be very nice business indeed - except that I'd have to take back my scoffing at SirNut when he suggested we'd get £20million for Cahill..... (if...)
footballfancast.com wrote:Manchester City look close to agreeing a fee with Bolton for England defender Gary Cahill.
The defender played in every league game for the Trotters this year and made his England debut in November. Cahill is thought to be keen on playing Champions League football as he looks to establish himself as a regular in the national side.
Bolton are thought to want £20 million plus Nedum Onuoha in exchange for the 25-year old. Cahill moved to the Reebok in January 2008 and has made 126 appearances for the club.
Manchester City are looking to strengthen their squad in preparation for next season’s Champions League having finished third in the league. With Kolo Toure still waiting for the hearing following his failed drugs test a centre-back is high on Roberto Mancini’s wish list.
Bolton had also been keen on taking Dedryck Boyata and Craig Bellamy on loan as part of the deal but the Welshman reportedly favours a return to hometown club Cardiff. Onuoha, on the other hand, spent this season on loan at Sunderland and is thought to be keen on a permanent move away from Manchester City.

The Pratley rumour thing is bound to happen.
I suppose we'd be best waiting for PSG before believing any business is totally done.

How daft is getting banned from playing in the off-season as a punishment? Should be six months ban from playing in league and cup games, not training, friendlies and holidays.Little Green Man wrote:Kolo Toure will be back Sept 2nd after only getting a 6 month ban.footballfancast.com wrote: Manchester City are looking to strengthen their squad in preparation for next season’s Champions League having finished third in the league. If we sign Pratley (which I really hope we do!)and if he and Holden are fit come first game of the season they will both start in the center of midfield.
