Hmm a lad who has scored 5 goals in 2 seasons in the Portuguese fecking league, who apparently will command a "sizeable fee". Sounds good to me, how much are Guimares going to pay us to take him then?boltonboris wrote:Ha! I was thinking that... I bet it'd be a feckin' dream.. Couple of Pratley stories. Sun reckons he's set to sign, Mirror reckons its still 50/50 and he has 4 weeks left of his contract, in which time Swans hope to persuade him to stay.

I think the more salient article is Pratley's interview on the BBC.

In other words, we haven't signed him despite what the bullshit...oops ITK folk may have said! And it seems unlikely that we will sign him based on these comments.

BBC story states that he hasn't signed a pre-contract agreement with us and that his future is still up in the air

Swansea have Premier Leegue money now.
Unfortunately Ferrie Bode has signed an extension. Another one bites the dust.

Hmm sounds more like he's ready to leave Swansea to me, judging by his words above. Whether its to us though, i doubt its anywhere near settled judging by what he said...if he's in demand he'll be waiting for the best deal. Then asked if he wanted to sign a new Swans deal, Pratley replied: "I didn't say that.
"Before last summer I came out and said I wanted to sign a contract at Swansea and things didn't happen.
"Then there was a statement coming out saying the club were in no rush to give myself a contract. I read that and it was very upsetting for me.
"Maybe I'm not the best player on the pitch every week but I try my hardest and sweat blood for the club so to hear that was very disappointing.
"No matter what happens, no-one can take away what I've achieved at this club. I've been here for five years, won two promotions and helped the club into the Premier League."

What about this youth at Reading, Shane Long? 25 Goals last season apparently.

You know, with him, Sean Davis & Jimmy Bullard on his radar I'm beginning to wonder if HWSNBN had scouts in an Orthopedic Clinic.

According to that site Maison Mcgeechan has been released. Bolton turned down £2m bid from Wigan for Al Habsi. No surprise there but we only want £3m plus appearance money according to The Mirror.

Latics boss Roberto Martinez wants Al Habsi after he became a hero in their successful fight against relegation and was voted their Player of the Year, but Bolton are holding out for £3m plus appearance cash.

Another Mirror story confirming the Gay Cahill to Man City sale is being held up by the Boateng to Bayern deal.

The Bundesliga giants want the Germany defender, who has had a miserable debut season at Eastlands since moving from Hamburg.
However, they are looking to pay £7m and are stunned that City are looking for more than double their valuation.
Boateng's departure is now on hold, and is stalling a deal for Bolton's Gary Cahill that would see Nedum Onuoha leave City as part of the transfer.

I know how we can improve the squad. Swap Zat Knight, David Wheater and Adam Bogdan for Fabregas, Arshavin and Nasri!
Wenger is finally figuring it out...slowly...

What a wankcretin!"People love what we do but they want us to be rewarded so they can be convinced we do things the right way. For our fans the frustration was that we were so close to convincing everybody of how football can be great, but in the end not being able to deliver."
P.S.. Just watch Barca
