That's such a ridiculous sweeping statement of epic proportions that even thebish would be too embarrassed to make it.

ok, i'll re-word it for your sensitive ears = of all the chinese chippies I have ever frequented, I have never had chips which have matched up to those served by an English chippy.

Koon Yum is a cracker, but the chips are shit.

Aye. Some people like the olde sick-in-pastry shoppe.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

bought a tagine this week.

Using it for first time tonight.

Simmering now is a lamb, apricot, prunes and honey dish with coriander, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric and saffron. Served with couscous.

I didn't make it - been marking all day.

But I can smell it.

And am salivating... :D

I'm on the Brothers Toffee apple cider. I think this is the strangest thing I've ever drank. Quite nice though. Was on offer, also got some ginger cider but not got round to that yet!

Good stuff, that. Bit sweet. Can't drink more than one bottle in a sitting. I recommend the strawberry one though...
