Might have known Steve Bruce would be sniffing round, if there's 10 million quid to waste somewhere.

clearly he won't! but if he did - then - lucky escape for us I reckon, as Cahill would turn crap.

We all know how good Wenger is at picking his defenders, if he has signed him after scouting him it could be a double bluff
Pfffft.

I hate to think what sort of wage diarra is on. Even if this weren't an issue given his performance against Barcelona in the champions league (where he was there best player) I believe any of the top 3/4 clubs in europe (minus Barca/Real) would love to have him in the centre of their midfield.

From FM10 Pape Diakhate: (CA130, PA165), 25-years, 6ft1in, 78kg. Solid but average concentration for a centre back. Not dominant in the air or at dribbling. Average pace.

Matt Mills: (CA126, PA142), 23-years, 6ft3in, 81kg. Really doesn't concentrate well for a centre back. Average pace but solid stats.

Sebastien Bassong: (CA156, PA165), 23-years, 6ft2in, 72kg. Left footed can cover left back. Slight build but athletic, quicker back with good all around defender stats.

Majid Bougherra: (CA144, PA151), 27-years, 6ft2in, 90kg. Strong, athletic can pass and dribble the ball a bit does so too often. Average concentration but 'marks opponent tightly' which is great.
What could've happened; did.

Aye, some of those stats look impressive.

Does Coyle know about this Bassong fella?

Is the same Kayal who less than 7 days ago sacked his agent and said he wasn't intereted in going anywhere next season, that he was flattered at interest in him from Bolton and Aston Villa but wanted to negotiate a new contract with Celtic?

Didn't sound too "unsettled" to me. Unusual story for Nixon- he's normally ahead of things- although I did notice this one didn't have "EXCLUSIVE" brandished next to his name, so it might have been more of a stocking filler article.
