Where are you going tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

It's really tremendous. Great versatile cast, acting, singing, playing instruments.

The show grew on me through the evening. Mock-victorian melodrama, broad humour and complex lyrics and music, which felt like they were inspired by Brecht/Weill. Which is an excellent inspiration as far as I'm concerned.

Excellent - really looking forward to this.

We are sorting out our new season tickets tonight too. We are expecting a massive lifestyle shift in the next couple of months which will have a huge impact on our lives (more of which in due course) but this monthly treat is something neither of us want to give up.

I've always liked Peter Kay. I had never seen him live before but I loved Phoenix Nights and his earlier stand up routine dvds. I found some bits of Max and Paddy funny too, although there was too much dross in that series for my liking. I've noted the negative comments made by some posters on here about him too. So I went to the O2 last night with an open mind.

Last night he was just phenomenal. He had a crowd of around 18,000 in his hand from the minute he walked onto the stage until the minute he left after two standing ovations. He did loads of new (to me) material and very little old stuff. When he referred to old stuff he did so with a wink that acknowledged the fact.

He is an outstanding talent, in my opinion. Thumbs up from Zulu. :oyea:
Going tonight. Birthday surprise from Ms Pru

Not much of a surprise then, is it ;)

She only told me on Thursday smartarse :D.

Anyway, was awesome! If there's one thing that man can do it's hold a crowd. As Zulu says 18,000 eating out of the palm of his hand. Lots of knowing nods to old stuff, but still piss funny. Still manages to pick out the observational stuff that everyone of all ages can relate to like no-one else. Some tear provokingly funny stuff. Also, we were there for the DVD filming night, so not sure if it was jazzed up compared to when Zulu went, but lots of ace fireworks and pyrotechnical stuff. The Danny Boy singalong at the end of the second one really annoyed me, but the similar singalong the other night was funny as fook live.

All supported by a botoxed to fook but nevertheless well-looking Rick Astley. Brilliant. Best. Rick rolling. Ever.

Debating whether to go and see The Horrors on Friday. So very tempted, but wallet seems to be getting tighter.

Any thoughts on the show you want to share? I'd be interested.
