Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Why would we offer £4 million for a player (Rodrigo) that we had on loan last season and hardly ever used?

I'm sure I speak for the majority of Bolton fans when I say, cyaaaa! (ala Randy Marsh)
Would be a great bonus to get Petrov off our wage-bill.

Just been told that Petrov wants to stay in the UK for one more year to get his passport. But the MLS move is tempting.

from what i saw of rodrigo he was quality and would have improved our team last season if he was used more it seems to me we used him sparingly as he was adjusting to the bpl and perhaps we didnt want his potential transfer fee to rise too muchChoppers wrote:Why would we offer £4 million for a player (Rodrigo) that we had on loan last season and hardly ever used?

Because Sturridge and Elmander are no longer around to keep him on the bench.Choppers wrote:Why would we offer £4 million for a player (Rodrigo) that we had on loan last season and hardly ever used?

FM2010: Alejandro Alfaro, 173cm, 5ft8in, 71kg. Born 23.11.86. (CA136, PA162). Attacking midfielder or right wing. Creative, skillful, shoots and scores but not anything defensive. Bit like a more central Lee that shoots more often.wanderbeam wrote:Linked with Sevilla's Alejandro Alfaro.

1.5m Euro for a former Spain under-21 international is a good bit of business. Happy about this rumour.
Along with Alcantara (CA 103, PA-9) who is smaller but similar and possibly a bit better, Coyle must be looking to cash in on Alonso's contacts before he heads to the 'big house/hacienda'.
What could've happened; did.

Definitely a quality player, one for the future.Choppers wrote:Why would we offer £4 million for a player (Rodrigo) that we had on loan last season and hardly ever used?
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Maybe it's just me, but we don't seem the kind of club that can (financially anyway) pay £4 million for a player "for the future".adamworthy2002 wrote:Definitely a quality player, one for the future.Choppers wrote:Why would we offer £4 million for a player (Rodrigo) that we had on loan last season and hardly ever used?
If we spend that money on him, he needs to be playing. If he's any good, then fine, let's use him.

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
If Coyle plays him as a striker I think he is good enough, and certainly we'll be less pedestrian upfront if we do buy him (Klasnic, Kev and Blake as our recognised forwards)
Blackpool midfielder David Vaughan, 28, is eyeing a Premier League return with Sunderland after rejecting a new contract offer, believed to be in the region of £10,000-a-week. (BBC Sport). Don't know why we aren't in for him, if wages are a relatively 'low'
According to Sky Sports we've withdraw offer for Jerome

Sorry fella, didn't mean to point it out but Rodders would/should be played in his preferred role of striker and in that instance would stroll into the teamohjimmyjimmy wrote:Makes me shudder everytime someone points this out..TKIZ! wrote:If Coyle plays him as a striker I think he is good enough, and certainly we'll be less pedestrian upfront if we do buy him (Klasnic, Kev and Blake as our recognised forwards)
