Lord Kangana wrote:Thats fine, but I'll bet that a bottle encrusted with Swarovski crystals is'nt going to have a cost price of £1.99. Its probably got tap water in it anyway. In that scenario, its not about the water.
I'm not sure I read it the same as you...
the Swarovski crystal bottled water is the £40 one isn't it?
The £50 that I drew attention to has no mention of crystals - simply the place of origin of the water... "200 yards under volcanic rock in New Zealand’s Rotomo Hills."

So thats probably a cost price of 10-15 quid. Clearly somebody wants to buy it. The Mail has it at £21.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

They are from the testers. The logistics of getting 3,000 people to blind taste 10 waters are almost insurmountable.
And moreover, they are a panel I would suggest who live and work in London and have therefore grown used to the taste. You can do that wih most things. Its deeply flawed.
A fairer test would be to send samples out to the various regions and have them compared against their own water. I mean, how long was the shipped in water hanging around before the test?
I'm not from the south, I'm from Bolton. I have lived equally long in London as I have in Bolton and so have a more informed opinion than most.
I am not insulted by the insinuation that London Water is crap or the assertation that it tastes like crap. I'm just informing you that the opinions of certain northern monkeys is entirely inaccurate.

Look - if London water was any good then they'd be able to make good ale from it - and they can't. Ergo: London = shit water and shit ale. There endeth the discussion!

Earlier, I made a mug of hot tea with good old Bolton water and a quite ourageous snack. Two McVities plain chocolate digestive biscuits spead with black-cherry jam. Twas delicious.

Isn't London Pride the capital based branch of the gay rights movement?

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
Bobo mentioning blueberries in another thread got me thinking about those pies we used to have that made you mouth all purple. Wimberry pies. Haven't seen them for years. Do they still make them?

TD if you walk up to the Pike from the Top Barn there are Wimberry bushes aplenty. You can make your own pie!

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
Used to pick Wimberrys up on Holcombe Hill (is that right?) over Ramsbottom way with my Auntie. Then we'd go home and make some Wimberry pies. Usually ended up with a bad stomach ache from eating far too much.
Happy days.
