We should show the table to any potential signings, fool em into thinking they're signing for a champions league club !

Isn't it supposed to be better playing the top clubs at the beginning of the season before they "get into their stride", or am I just clutching at straws???
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

i'm not sure, i seem to remember Chelsea starting the last couple of seasons with some tonking wins, cant comment on Utd or City, but Arsenal seem to start ok dont they then lose their bottle.

probably applies to man united but nobody else.

the opener is a nightmare as well. you never want a promoted club on the first day.

Depends. If they dick us and we're propping up the table in October than confidence could be very low indeed.

Still, we're overdue pulling some shocks on the likes of Chelsea, United and Liverpool so who knows?

it's best to play arsenal in the last 6 games - when they have imploded and have nowt but shattered dreams to fill their restless nights...

Speaking of straw-clutching, the European-qualified might be slightly otherwise occupied. We play:

MU at home Sep 10 – the weekend before "Champions" "League" "Matchday" 1
Arsenal away Sep 24 – the weekend before Champs Lge Matchday 2
Chelsea home Oct 1 – the weekend after Champs Lge Matchday 2
Stoke home Nov 5 – the weekend after Europa League Matchday 4 (if they get through two play-off rounds)
Spurs away Dec 3 – the weekend after Europa League Matchday 5 (if they get through one play-off round)
Fulham away Dec 17 – the weekend after Europa League Matchday 6 (if they get through three play-off rounds)
City away Mar 3 – the weekend before Champs Lge Round of 16 leg 1
Fulham home Apr 7 – the weekend after Europa League QF leg 2
Spurs home Apr 14 – the weekend before Europa League SF leg 1
Stoke away May 13 – the weekend after the Europa League final :D

Now that is thorough fixture list studying... I'm still stuck at "oh god, oh god United, Liverpool, Arsenal one after the other" and "Im liking the idea of a giant booze up at home to Wolves on NYE". Whereas you've come up with that! Respect! 8)

I did check first whether we were at home on Boxing Day, so I can take the family...

Ha! Forgot about that! (For completeness, they have one qualifying round to get through.)

Interesting set of fixtures to start with. Even more interesting odds of us getting relegated, we could always do 'an Everton' and have a terrible start and finish strongly.

Definitely going to the QPR away game
Pfffft.

We'll not be selling many of those 1/2 season tickets this season then!
