hmm.. as proven by his signing of perma-crock ricardo! 8)

also..
Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams and Swansea midfielder Darren Pratley both fall into that bracket, as do Daniel Sturridge and Rodrigo, who could both be set for second spells at the club after showing remarkable improvement last season.
on what planet could Sturridge be set for a second spell at Bolton?

What am i missing about this Rhys Williams, is that a bit of an 'ITK' comment by Marc Iles? I know we were linked with him about 6 weeks ago but it didnt seem to hang around....yet there he's being mentioned in the same breath as Pratley.

We've been negotiating for weeks - they want Connolly in exchange whilst we don't want to let him go

If Coyle has any thoughts of bringing in Nile Ranger for 1M, I propose bringing back Vaz Te, he'd be at least twice as cheap and at least twice as much a goalthreat. To summarize, Ranger is shit.

Nile Ranger has discipline issues.
The 20-year-old has had his disciplinary and shooting problems at Newcastle.

He ran up thousands of pounds worth of fines for being late and three months ago was pictured with a gun in a gangster pose.

The youngster has yet to open his goals account in the top flight.

Linked in the Daily Mail with Roger Johnson, Cameron Jerome, Craig Gardner - they have no McLeish/manager so I doubt it.
What could've happened; did.

He sounds like he's good at patrolling a large North African river.

Or is it just naming players we've been linked with? Context:
As with the majority of his signings thus far, the mainstay of the manager’s targets will be younger players able to improve themselves under his tutelage. Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams and Swansea midfielder Darren Pratley both fall into that bracket, as do Daniel Sturridge and Rodrigo, who could both be set for second spells at the club after showing remarkable improvement last season.
In that context, thousands of players "fall into that bracket", from Henri Lansbury to Javier Hernandez to Thiago Alcantara to Mark Connolly.

There are only 2 types of targets Owen Coyle can have.....

1) He'd be a great signing but we've got "no chance".

2) He's shit why are we chasing him?

There is a third type.

3) Why'd he offer that stump a new contract when we could have replaced him with a 2)
