How the f*ck is it almost text speak?
People have called Mark Hughes 'Sparky' since before texts, footballers have been called nicknames for donkeys years...and LL if you've never ever referred to a footballer by a nickname on here then i'll eat a fookin hat shop.

Wasn't the whole thing just because we were used to calling Kevin Davies just Davies then we got Mark Davies and Sean Davis and shortened them to Mavies and now Savis to keep it short. So SKD can still be Davies.

Like I said, I understand it, but when you're typing 'Savis' as opposed to his name, 'Davis' it seems a bit pointless.

This isn't aimed at yourself, it's anyone who wants to be offended by it
