Just goes to show it's better to just sit back and say nowt till PSG time.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Thats surely incoherant. If having say £7mil worth of player and £10mil cash, then that suggests we'd be being given £7mil cash to spend or surely the club would be insisting on an all money swap.TANGODANCER wrote:OC's hinting he wants players as a part-ex otherwise the money will go towards the debt, if today's Sun report is to be believed.

It's looking more and more like "our Gary" is overated & overpriced and there ain't going to be many places left for him to go to a "Champions league" club, que Bin dippers.
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Quoted from Football365.com " The paper reports that Harry Redknapp is a 'long time admirer' of the centre-half, and will duke it out with Arsenal and Manchester City for the Bolton man.
The paper reckons there is a clause in Cahill's contract allowing him to leave for the bargain price of £17million - price that surely no sensible man will pay."
I really hope that we can sign him for another 5 years with higher release fee... shut-up a few.

No one is gonna pay 17 million for a defender with 12 months left on his contract with no CL or International experience.

Why dont we keep him !! hes the reason our defence has worked since arriving the big uns arent bidding so thats probably actually really good news for us as we can keep him SIGN HIM UP!!

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
1/we need the money
2/ he wants to play champions league football
3/ no ones buying him and we have got to the point of slating our own valuation of him
4/ hes much better than most centrebacks
5/ he would resign

The big uns not bidding is not good news if we want to sign some quality players for other areas.

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
That's correct, but we've not had decent fullbacks for ages now, and the centre halves have largely been crap
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Amazing we had such a good season, eh?
No defenders and no keeper
