Collecting
Come on admit yours...and not just the porn one under the bed
Mines books - first eds, different covers, different languages, with the Kindle frees up other book expenditure so I can now concentrate on authors and subjects I like, those being
Robert Rankin
Charles de Lint
Tom Holland
And books on Dracula/Vampires (not Twilight though)
Also used to collect anything to do with the films Mar Attacks, Tank Girl and the TV show UFO by Gerry Anderson but they all got too expensive

Re: Collecting
At one point I had about 3,000 DVDs, but I've flogged most.
I've got everything that Bret Easton Ellis ever wrote.
I'm a completist for DVD trilogy series etc (LOTR and Star Wars etc)

Re: Collecting
I've never had the patience for collecting stuff..
(not on purpose anyway - I have a sizeable collection of tins of Heinz Chicken Soup because they had the crappy idea of making the cans look pretty much identical to the Tomato Soup cans...)

Re: Collecting
I want to buy 10 WCW figures for $20.10 plus $25 Postage.
I have somewhere about 15 or so coins from 1900-1920
The place I was getting them was robbed for all.
Plus a room full of Star Wars Stuff.

Re: Collecting
Childrens books for me. Started with collecting the series of all my old favourites, Enid Blyton, Jennings, Just William etc but since the twins have arrived have stepped it up a gear and have tons of cracking books for younger kids too (twins will be allowed to read them if they are VERY careful
) My sister uses me as some kind of borrowing library for her two... I get lots off ebay but find it hard to resist a shiny new, colourful book with nice pictures

Re: Collecting
Collecting football grounds where I've seen the Wanderers. A Tuesday night in Hereford pre-season and the promotion of Swansea allow me to add another two.

Re: Collecting
Food/drink books. I've got about 700 and counting. I also collect wine from South West France.
A little more off the beaten track for me, I have a full bookcase of books/maps/info on Operation Market Garden. It'd be my hypothetical Mastermind subject.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: Collecting
Compulsive collector. Fair amount of books. Lots of music of many types, vinyl, cassettes (stacks of Spanish music) CD's. None of it my kids will ever want or play. All sorts of nonsense items, watches and lighters that don't work etc. Still find it hard to throw things away that "might come in for something". Old habits die hard.

Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?

You're telling me! I've had to pay £54.99 for a pair of green adidas samba's. Fecking blue ones are ten a penny......................I saw some gold/bronzie coloured ones which I wanted, but my wife reminded me of my age. She can put up with blue / Green, but thought the gold ones looked a bit pimpish

Re: Collecting
always used to collect my away ticket stubs when i was more active. I have hundreds stuck to four or five cork boards but they have been banished to the loft so dont bother much now, unless its a new ground. I also have a packet of matches from every casino/bar/strip joint ive been to in Las Vegas. and my shed is an aladdins cave for broken useless bike parts.
