Arsene doesn't always know, then?Abs wrote:The funny bit is Savic had a trail with Arsenal 18 months ago and could have had him for 1 million pound, and after a week of trail and a closed door game, they declined the chance sign him....Just give us Cahill, its just us and Harry left. I stil think City are in the game on this one.

I like the fact that that Udinese player Sanchez wants to join Barcelona, despite City literally throwing figures at him, offering him obscene money and he's saying he'd rather stay at Udinese than go to City for any money, if he cant go to Barca. Good for you sonBWFC_Insane wrote:We were talking to City for quite a while by all accounts. Its not like they don't have the money......ohjimmyjimmy wrote:I think thats a bit over the top..they may well have wanted him, but i'm assuming you mean 'at all costs', which assumes you know what we wanted from City in return - bearing in mind City's interest was in the earyl early stages of the TW stage, when we were probably a bit more relaxed about the whole situation.BWFC_Insane wrote:I don't think they are. Mancini was never that interested apparently, it was more Marwood who was advising the Cahill deal.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:But still they gotta decide, do they spend 8m on some untested foregin chappie, or 15 million on a proven Prem player which also gets their quota of UK players up. If City wanted him they'd have got him by now.
Arsenal hanging around twiddling their fingers and being indecisive is par for the course, but City probably had a look see then decided they'd look elsewhere.
Time will tell anyhow, but to me its not looking great. Hopefully Arsene will panic and do the deal!

Wenger never panics, he will wear your lot down and you will surrender by sending cahill over and say just give us what you can

Of course he never panics.
Despite not winning anything for 6 years, he still does everything the same.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

The Ronaldo story is that Man u came out and blew Arsenal out of the way. Zlatan had a tour with Arsenal and we were interested, but never made a move and he went to ajax. That was a bit of a mistake though.Lofthouse Lower wrote:Arsene doesn't always know, then?Abs wrote:The funny bit is Savic had a trail with Arsenal 18 months ago and could have had him for 1 million pound, and after a week of trail and a closed door game, they declined the chance sign him....Just give us Cahill, its just us and Harry left. Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
In fact why dont we offer Cahill and Al Habsi to Arsenal for , say, 15m plus a couple of players?
Job done, half Arsenal's problems solved and we get a bit of dosh.
