Funny he was considered lightweight, I saw a few reserve matches where he was the biggest lad on the pitch - against Arsenal's yoof and the like

As ever will depend on how strong the players will is, if as reported he really wants to go to Chelsea then I doubt there is much Barca can do to stop him, short of keeping him!jimbo_bwfc wrote:Speaking of other rumours that refuse to die, this Thiago deal really does seem to have something in it.
We're the only club willing to basically let Barca dictate the terms of the agreement which I imagine are along the lines of 'you give us 10M for him, we have the option to buy him back for 10M at anytime within the next 3/4 years (or whatever). Essentially a long-term loan.
Would afford Thiago the same privilages that Pique and Fabregas have- at obviously a smaller club- of playing in the Premier Leauge- but would also accommodate Barca who can buy him back without taking a hit.
We get a player well beyond what we 'should' be getting for a club our size.
Barcelona get a player developed for free.
Ahem...What do I win?

I'm guessing the new contract has everything to do with a potential loan deal next season.

I'm hardly arsed either way, other than to the point of 'I want us to sign player X because he is a quality player'.

Woah, woah, woah, unfortunately I can categorically announce I am not "In the know". My second cousin's best friend does not work at the training ground and I haven't seen Thiago eating paella with Owen Coyle in the town centre..Hoboh wrote:wanderers_on_tour wrote:I'm guessing the new contract has everything to do with a potential loan deal next season.

Edit : Actually my dad used to play golf with former Leeds United and England keeper Nigel Martyn..does that count..??

Also, Blerim Dzemaili, who we released on a free, has today moved from Parma to Napoli for 9 million eurosBolton in hurry to tie up Moreno deal
Published 22:59 29/06/11 By Alan Nixon
Bolton boss Owen Coyle wants to rush through a deal for Spanish starlet Rodrigo Moreno – before the player jets out to the Under-20s World Cup finals.
Coyle is close to an agreement with Benfica to sign the attacker, who spent last season on loan at the Reebok, on a similiar deal.
Rodrigo is due to lead the line for Spain in Colombia next month, and Coyle does not want him on the market in that tournament.
Bolton will pay Benfica to take him for the season and have an agreement in place to sign him permanently for around £4million if the next year goes well.
Benfica are prepared to let Rodrigo go, but they want to get some money back after taking him from Real Madrid 12 months ago.

Apparently we're after an Egyptian freebie whose name is a randomly computer generated CATCHPA.
Or it's such a secret deal it's been encoded. Hosny-Abd-Rabo

I think I cracked the code and it's either... Thiago Alcantara... or Miguel Veloso...

Forgive me, but surely writing 2K08 takes as much effort as 2008, and therefore, and I don't wish to seem confrontational here, but why f*cking bother when we've already come up with a perfectly adequate system to express the number 2008?mullayo wrote:
