1st Manchester United

The club has already spent over £50m to strengthen its squad ( far more than its rivals ). Although triumph in Europe may well allude the club next season,
oh dear... :?

not a great read for GG...
5th Arsenal

With the likelihood of Fabregas going to Barcelona, Nasri to Manchester Utd, and no big signings, this coming season could end up being a real test for Arsenal and their fans. A 5th play finish and no silverware (again), however, will see Arsene Wenger retire from football at the end of the season. And what odds Carlo Ancelotti to replace him?

I'm sorry, i can't take whoever wrote that seriously given they have Liverpool 3rd, Sunderland 6th and your lot as high as 9th! Clearly haven't a clue what they are talking about!

Liverpool in the top three?

Did Henry Winter write it?

Think its possible, personally. No European distractions.

Are they signing a replacement for Andy Carroll or something?

Besides, having Arsenal above Spurs is just an absurd suggestion.

Predicions, before transfers even get under way? Brave, to say the least. Can we have of few from that ageing Chelsea squad?

It's not unrealistic. Be nice if we could improve it a tad, but I wouldn't be heartbroken with it.

Article that's bizarre in its predictions. Aston Villa will be significantly higher than 17th, despite their managerial appointment. Sunderland will be significantly lower than 6th. Manchester City will be higher than Liverpool. Arsenal they have right - but might be one place lower. Swansea will be relegated.

If we are 9th or better I will have the biggest smile on this forum. Especially if we beat the FRS just once, and our beloved Manc neighbours in blue n all.

It's another season like the last one, insomuch as I'd be very very happy with a half-decent cup run or two and a top ten finish. A Euro spot is the very height of our ambitions at the minute. I'd love another couple of big club scalps as well.

I'd just like us to survive those first six games with our morale intact. It could knock us for six if we're not prepared for it.
