Not everyone thinks public sector workers are all that "hard done by" you know! They are just being pulled a little closer to the private sector and the asshole unions see their power being erroded thats why the confrontation is happening.

Thing was Hoboh, given the strike was over pensions, I don't think anybody felt the comment regarding working hours and holidays was warranted.

It is when the perception is that they have better pensions but work less.

I liked the way she backed up her OWN argument, by stating that her HUSBANd doesn't get Christmas off and has to work bank holidays. Then she spoke about her HUSBAND having to fork out 51% tax (this again was ill-informed, as only a portion of the wage gets taxed that much) then she added. "My Husband is a Professional Footballer".... Really? You never said.....

The whole thing was funny as fook, because she genuinely believes that because her Husband is loaded, her opinions matter more. But that's the bubble that they live in.

Besides, I've met her outside of her Charity world.. she's NOT pleasant

Exactly, it's just her opinion. An opinion I'm sure many other people hold. The only thing people have a problem with is she's a wag saying it. If I said it (not saying that I agree with her) and I had a nine to five job on worse pay than teachers then no-one would see anything wrong and people wouldn't be abusing me all over twitter. I'm sure she wasn't the only parent annoyed that the kids were home that day.

Fook me. Thats shocking. Whether you agree with the strikes or not is one thing. But to then try and say how "badly off you are" when your husband earns 30K a week, thats just embarrassing beyond belief!

To be fair she was only replying to accusations that she couldn't say that because she was loaded, and her husband was a footballer, not asking people to pity her.

Sorry if it was a non BWFC related WAG talking shite about a subject they didn't understand nobody on here would defend them.

From what I've seen its not even that she had an opinion, its that she couldn't cope with someone disagreeing with her, however mild the response was!

I'm not defending what she said, I don't agree with it. I am just trying to be fair when someone makes it sound like she was saying something she wasn't.

All I am saying is that there is a massive overreaction and the abuse being hurled at the captains wife is despicable.

IF she is getting abuse then yes thats not right. But if people are just saying "I don't agree" or "You didn't get your facts right" or "You can't talk your husband earns millions a year" then that is not abuse.

She is on twitter and people follow her because she makes herself known. Anyone who is remotely famous or known on something like that is bound to receive some unpleasent messages. End of the day she is not special, whether she is Kevin Davies' wife or not.

Some of what I've seen off people has been much more personal than that but I understand what you mean. Just think Bolton fans slagging off Davies' wife is uncalled for and let's be honest wouldn't give a great impression of us. People follow her because she is Kevin Davies' wife, I guess I just don't understand the need to be unpleasant to people just because they are remotely famous or associated with people who are.

First of all, she's no different to us, we're all human beings just trying to get by in life.

I'm sure she's a nice person, but people just need to remember that the internet is not some alternate reality that only exists online. Once you put something out there, it stays there forever, it is always archived by someone. We've all said things we regretted afterwards.
