It's an old one.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

cut-price Keane... anyone? thought not!
Tottenham are planning to slash the asking price for striker Robbie Keane.
Keane is believed to be a target for Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle.
The Mirror claims Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is now looking for £4 million to facilitate a quick sale.
Keane's value has been cut from £5.5 million in an effort to attract interested clubs such as Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa.
The Republic of Ireland veteran is not in Harry Redknapp's long-term plans and Levy is trying to bring in a couple of strikers, but needs to take Keane’s wages off the balance-book.
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
£1 million and I'd be interested perhaps..
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
what the hell is a balance-book?

Won't be the million that's the problem but Keane's wage expectations. He could be a useful buy. He's plenty experience up front and always made me nervous when he got anywhere near the box. We could do worse if the terms are right.HMX wrote:£1 million and I'd be interested perhaps..

I suppose one of the few upsides to holding off to the back end of the window is we can batter teams and players down on price. But thats also true for our sale of Cahill. I wish Chelsea would just bung us a few million and Danridge.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

nobody is going to pay much for cahill surely? Because he is in the last year of his contract clubs won't offer what we want in this window then it will get to christmas someone who is having a dodgey season (arsenal) will offer 4/5 mill and we will have to accept otherwise he will be off on a free. i hope i am wrong.

Or if two clubs really want him at the same time, it will go to the highest bidder, which will benefit us. No worries, one and a half months left in the transfer window.drummergeek wrote:nobody is going to pay much for cahill surely? I can see Arsenal paying up to around £10M but Chelsea would definitely pay £17M if it helped their CL ambitions. For Chelsea, waiting another year would be another year they haven't won the CL.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Not a rumour, but unwanted Man City striker Felipe Caiceido (mentioned in dispatches earlier when talk was of a Cahill swap deal) scored two for Ecuador against Brazil – video here

That'll be the one who's signed permanent terms at Levante earlier in the month for £880k and who Levante are now looking to sell to Lokomotive Moscow for £8.8m...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Not a rumour, but unwanted Man City striker Felipe Caiceido (mentioned in dispatches earlier when talk was of a Cahill swap deal) scored two for Ecuador against Brazil – video here

not seen this one before...
http://life.hereisthecity.com/2011/07/1 ... to-bolton/ (Guardian)There are lots of people whose whole years are about building up to 20 minutes of inglorious action in south-east Asia but that won't do for Denílson. The Brazilian midfield puzzle (what exactly does he do? Is he a great player in evolution or an average one in way over his head?) was introduced at half-time in the first match of what celebrity Arsenal fan Eric Idle may refer to as the club's Even Greedier Bastards tour of the Far East, and was substituted 20 minutes later.
Five humdrum seasons in the Premier League hadn't convinced Wenger that Denílson isn't good enough for Arsenal – but it seems a brief sortie in Malaysia could. Riddle thus resolved, Denílson will shortly be on his bike. Bolton are quite interested, Newcastle wouldn't say no, and Spanish wannabes Malaga fancy pairing him in midfield with Marseille's Argentinian schemer Lucho González.

Used to think he was a great player in evolution but either the evolving is taking a hell of a long time or he Is just an average player in over his head. I now suspect the latter... Would be like you signing a (slightly more skilful) Matty Taylor, scores the occasional screamer but otherwise nothing to write home about. Another one, like bendtner who thinks he's better then he actually is...thebish wrote:not seen this one before...

These ARE cast names from a p.o.r.n. film .... right ??BRENTFORD will keep tabs on triallist Maison McGeechan following his two-goal blast at Liverpool yesterday.
But the Bees won't rush into offering a deal to McGeechan and fellow hopeful Bobby Devyne.
Head of youth development Ose Aibangee said: "Maison's been released by Bolton and is one we're having a look at.
"He's quick and good on the ball and we will monitor his progress.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I agree, I'd happily pay them a million quid, just to keep him there.HMX wrote:£1 million and I'd be interested perhaps..
