To be fair you've been saying that every season since 1925. It'll be reet.

We've only been training for a couple of weeks and were playing a game against a team half way through their season.

This wasn't a "go out there and spank them" kind of game, it's just building up match fitness.

This.

This comment is by far and away the most ridiculous comment I have EVER read on this forum. So, for that.... congratulations!

I hate BWFC losing to ANYONE period. No matter what the game is pre-season/blind school/under 9's ANYONE! and so should the players/management team. Sucess is bred by a wining mentality and confidence, think red nose would be happy?

I'm not arsed. I don't think Owen is arsed.

It's been seen time and time again that's there's little correlation between dicking/losing to pub-teams in friendlies, and success in the league. The best performance in a friendly I've ever seen from us was under Sammy Lee.

Then Owen ain't our man!!!
Once batted against an pro bowler in a cricket knock about, under 14's we were, he let us have full tilt!!! He was asked "why?" by our coach, the reply "well they are batsman ain't they".
BTW he was an Aussie!
Fred Trueman did the same against anyone too!!

There's a difference between letting you have a few "full tilt" and bowling at you with the intent to injure and maim to put you off your stride.

The difference is fairly small, but probably not dissimilar to pre-season friendlies Vs league match.

Score sheet they passed out before the match mixed their numbers up, not really the announcers fault.

We could win every pre-season game 5-0. Won't mean a thing come QPR away!
