Could it be Jaime Navarro, centre half, former Real Madrid teammate and car crash passenger of our Spanish left back?Mar wrote: Never heard of this Haime guy though.

back in June this was reported so it looks as though he wasn't good enough fot the Scottish giants
.... KILMARNOCK have targeted released Real Madrid defender Jaime Navarro after the 20-year-old defender was advised to move to Britain by ex-Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

I fookin' despise Ronaldo with a passion but if the Navao comes here and does the business I'd just settle for pretending he does not exist (Ronaldo that is)Salford Trotter wrote:back in June this was reported so it looks as though he wasn't good enough fot the Scottish giants.... Did he ever have a trial at Kilmarnock?
Casting an eye at youtube..... waits for abuse. looks like a much younger and mobile Campo. Which probably means he'll be an awful centre back but good def mid.

..."this guy" being Richard Eckersley, the lad Coyle signed for Burnley from Man U – via a tribunal, which irked Ferguson, who wanted Burnley to just cough up. I hear that there may have been some lingering malcontent there but hopefully Coyle's done the emollient thing and we're free to sign players from Manchester United should we choose to.Mar wrote:With regards to this trailist called Eckersley it wouldn't happen to be the Tom Eckersley featured on this page would it?

I've just checked with my contact and it's Tom Eckersley who had a 3 year scholarship but was injured in his last year so the club have given him a month's trial to see whether he's worth a pro contract or notDave Sutton's barnet wrote:..."this guy" being Richard Eckersley, the lad Coyle signed for Burnley from Man U – via a tribunal, which irked Ferguson, who wanted Burnley to just cough up. Richard Eckersley is at present playing for Toronto FC in Canada, he's been over there for about 3 months and is doing well for them- even if the team isn't !!

So your impression was this guy was a decent footballer? Is he on a free, or would we have to pay for him?Salford Trotter wrote:Just got back from the game. We had two trialists playing as centre halves today, a spanish lad called Haime and a lad called Eckersley who both impressed. Joe Riley stood out as the MOTM with some really neat football and some great finishing supported well by Vela who I was surprised was playing today given he was on the verge of the first team at the end of last season. A Sampson header finished off a great team move.

I'd have to see more of him to make a judgement but on first impression he looked a capable defender but he was playing against semi-pro strikers so it's difficult to be sure. On the negative side he's not the tallest and as for a fee i'm assuming he's a free agent.TKIZ! wrote:So your impression was this guy was a decent footballer?
