But does he have the hunger and attitude to "Prove" something.. Seems like a bit of a big-time Charlie to me.. Likes getting a wedge so he can live the rappers lifestyle in Miami and LA in the summer.

If his head is on it, then I agree, he could be a decent signing for us.

When given the opportunity at Villa (once that tosser O'Neill left) he was superb at the arse-end of last year.

Well worth a go.

As we also agreed, I'd take a punt on Cuellar for £2 Million

All day long.

Bet they wouldn't sell him to a Prem team for £2m

This lad is meant to be top
Ferrie Bodde has reassured Swansea City that his early departure from their pre-season win at Port Talbot Town was a precaution against further injuries.

The 29-year-old midfielder enjoyed a 14-minute cameo in his first game for almost 18 months since recovering from surgery on his troublesome knee.

Bodde set up Craig Beattie's goal in their 3-1 victory on Saturday.

"I'm fine but I said to the bench I had tired legs and didn't want to risk further injuries," Bodde told the BBC.

Short of taking to the pitch in a tank, i'm sure you'll soon pick up another injury pal.

I think I agree with W4E in that this Jeffren thing could rapidly become this years Rivaldo! Just all this talk of planes, battling against arguably more famous European sides and a player who doesn't appear overly keen on coming somewhere cold!

Mind as with SWP don't think it's something anyone will be losing much sleep over.

Surely we must be linked with a proper out and out striker soon? Other than some vague and likely vain hope of Sturridge returning!

Jeffren's an intriguing link, an ambitious move for a sought-after youngster capable of further improvement and already packing pace and talent. So it doesn't surprise me that the resident doom-bells have decided to roll both the usual complaints - he shouldn't come because he's not good enough and he won't come because we're not good enough - into one big ball of UnFun.

He might not come. But I'm glad we're being linked with his type.

And the striker will come. Perhaps not this month. But he'll come.

All this SWP talk is a little harsh considering he hasn't said what the papers are quoting.

He told The Sun: 'I'm working hard and I have no intention of going anywhere else.

'If they want to keep me I want to be here. That would be my ideal scenario and I've told the manager that.

'Everyone knows my feelings for the club, but let's see what happens.'

Sounds like a player covering his tracks if any deal falls through.

I don't think the deal is impossible, but it does have something of a ring of the Rivaldo situation time will tell!
