Nixon saying Taylor to West Ham for £2 mil, hopefully Jeffren is almost a done deal! I doubt Coyle will sell Matty otherwise.

Still leaves us awfully short for cover on the wings, personally I think it's a shame Rodrigo is a no-go.

Headline is a bit wrong! It's not really a reunion unless I'm missing something.

They've both been north of Watford Gap. Its enough.

According to goal.com

Chelsea are willing to let Sturridge go out on loan or sold again to make room for Romelu Lukaku, apparently Everton are interested in Sturridge

not sure we can afford the 20m bounty on sturridge head.. loan seems to be more appropriate for us.

If Sturridge is available we should do everything possible to get him to our club.

Selling Taylor, sure, good money but it'd be nice to see some "INS" soon...

Sturridge is high class, so everyone will be 'interested' in him. If he goes out on loan then we must have a strong shout, though it will hardly be a surprise we will be in competition.

If it comes to buying him, well there will be only a handful could afford him & he would only fancy a few also

Didn't Sturridge mention last week if he was going out on loan he would only go to Bolton.

I reckon he'd go anywhere where he could play every week and be "the man". And to be fair - Everton, Villa, would be two clubs he could do that, who might be challenging higher up the table than us, with bigger crowds and more chance to impress Mr Capello.

Jeffren - my understanding is "anywhere across the front line"

It certainly looks like Taylor's agent is trying to get him a move somewhere. I read somewhere that he wants to move back down south (Stoke?) and now West Ham want him.

He only has a year left on his contract apparently. If we signed Petrov last summer on a 2 year deal, he presumably only has a year left aswell.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

IF we sell Taylor before bringing in some players then it is complete madness. Similar to the decision to sell Nolan thinking we had Veloso only for the deal to fall through.

Get the incomings sorted first, otherwise I'll have no sympathy with Coyle if he starts moaning about a "small squad" next season, if we're in that position won't be anyones fault but his! Surely we need 2 or 3 in before we even think about letting anyone go.

BN says that we are "confident on Jeffren" but that we are not flying him to America and will start talks next weekend when we're back. A lot can happen in a week!

What we saying then doe's anyone know any strong rumours of players coming or is it still just chinese whispers, not seen anything of this Jeffren on sky sports or out?? Plus i dont think matty taylor is that great and we could afford to lose him but we really need to start bringing in some players of class! We need 2 strikers a cm, a cb, and a rb and lb at least, haha so the shake up is on. I have no faith in the attacking line up od SKD, klasnic ????? and blake. Eaves and topi completely untested but looking at that link up there eaves has been compared to zlatan imbroimavich hahahahaha  i wish!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest we are not in a strong enough financial position to be bringing players in before selling others. Its just not possible.
