The mutilation and desecration of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in the abysmal final movie of the series.

Does that ruin anyone's day ?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Microsoft.
Been a while, so probably overdue. Windows 7 - no longer recognises MIDI devices (such as keyboards). Great one Microsoft.

58 random midi installs later and a couple of restarts of Ableton and everything's working. Now maybe if I'd restarted Ableton first time....Worthy4England wrote:Microsoft.

Anyhow Microsoft - should have bloody well removed user error by now.
(Still not sure if it was restarting the programme or installing the midi interfaces that did the trick...)

From what I understand, and I am NOT an expert, the drivers need to be updated to work with the recent updates to the operating system for Windows 7. Hopefully most decent companies have updated their drivers to deal with this. If not you are faced with rolling back your computer to pre 7 update or attempting to run drivers in a Vista compatability mode which is too complicated for me. Could be bullshit though - but I didn't make it up.Worthy4England wrote:58 random midi installs later and a couple of restarts of Ableton and everything's working. It does seem to be a known problem with Win7 only recognising MS' inbuilt wavetable...
Either way it seems to be sorted now.

Birthday KNOBHEAD DOG ****
We were going to a friends house to say happy birthday.
on the way I said I don't want to go because he smokes inside.
We get there and guess what:
He is smoking in the same room as his sisters 18 month old and 6 month old!
All that happened was I abused him a bit and took his cigarette and smoked it outside.

Good. He sounds like a tosser
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Rectifier conked out on the bike last night - just off the M25 - hour and a quarter wait in the drizzle...
(incidentally - the guy who did the recovery - out the bike in the back of the van - then turned on a video screen in the cab for the drive to my house so that I could watch my bike... Awww - how sweet I said - thinking that some people might be distressed about their old girl being broken down... nahh - he said - it's to stop you claiming we put her down later on and claiming for bodywork damage...)
also - today I have acute sciatica combined with stomach cramps - am now drugged up to the eyeballs...

Well, yes ..... though (& this is a life-long non-smoker and not someone who enjoys being surrounded in fug from fags ... AND who's parents did this themselves in the days when no-one knew better) it is HIS house !!2399 wrote:We were going to a friends house to say happy birthday.

Re: my chain smoking friend
Yes technically it is his house, but it is his neices.
When I had a go at him he said: they don't mind
My partner has since said that the mother didn't mind. (that's kind of worse probably)
Still, He should of known better
I went their for a beer last night and I so wanted to question him over it, but decided not to;
Instead: I wrote more 'funny' stuff in his calender.
But your right about how it would be percived 20 or more years ago,
Iv'e even seen pictures of mothers holding babys with a ciggie in the other hand!

Let's get back on topic:
I hate how with this **** winduhs sevhen there is no:
Good version of Windows Movie Maker; luckily the old version can still be downloaded for free.
Good Version of Sound recorder. Now it's just a S****y recorder and not an editor as well, I've not been able to find that online.

Ah-ha, I see the weakness of that option.
