Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
So you think Cahill is worth £17 million? Madness. No player, i dont care who they are is worth more than £20 Million. It's ludicrous the prices players go for these days. Football's going down the pan. Only way to sort it out is to start capping transfer deals, wages, ticket prices. It wont happen mind, Fifa are too soft... Andy Carroll has been scoring goals stats tend to suggest Cahill has hardly been keeping clean sheetsLord Kangana wrote:Yet strangely enough, it doesn't say "yeah, but with Andy Carroll being worth £35m, clearly Cahill is going for a song".

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Arsenal to look elsewhere so perhaps Cahill will be staying??

Scott Dann £15m? And we're quibling over Cahills value.
OK.
OK.

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
if we get 10m offered for cahill we should take it
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Really? It makes more sense to wait for the 17m or continue with a perfectly good CB for the season. You're forgetting the No.1 replacement is Zat Knight.
If he does stay for another season he'll sign a contract and we'll still get our money. Unlike a certain swede.

Don't be too sure of that.
Sell for whatever we can get, it'll soon be too late to invest in anyone decent to replace Knight

why do you think he will sign? i think he would rather join any of the top 6 who would be interested in him on a free.

Arsenal have lost interest. Let's get him round the table ASAP with a pen and some paper.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
I think and hope this is just mind games from arsenal to show Bolton they are looking somewhere else. I would prefer Cahill so much more than jagielka......he's younger, doesnt have dodgy injury record and better in the air. Just give Bolton 14 million and players on loan Wenger and move on ffs

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Its the only time they've played together (I think) but our gazza was a shade better, and more mobile, than Jags for England. They both, however, shit on Commander Wharf from a great height. So from that we can deduce that they are each worth in excess of £28m.

Has he gone yet?
Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
I was agreeing with you but got a bit nervous when I read this bit. Isn't Wenger partial to injury prone fragile players.Abs wrote:I think and hope this is just mind games from arsenal to show Bolton they are looking somewhere else.
